Exposure: A Ruling of the Badatz Rabbinical Court to Cease the Persecution Against the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

A letter on behalf of the three Badatzes (Supreme Rabbinical Courts) to stop the persecution against His Holy Eminence, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days).

In the letter of the Beis Din (Rabbinical Court) ruling, all the Gedolei Yisrael (Great Sages of Israel) signed below request "to immediately cease all hatred, persecutions, quarrels, and slanders, whether in writing or orally, and through any written or broadcast media."

Signed on the letter are the Batei Din (Rabbinical Courts) of Rabbi Nissim Karelitz, the Edah HaChareidis, the Beis Din of Rabbi Wosner, and other important Rabbis such as Rabbi Moshe Sternbuch, Rabbi Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss, and others.

This is the text of the letter: A Beis Din (Rabbinical Court) on behalf of the important Rabbinical Courts in the Land [of Israel]

B"H (With the Help of Heaven) Monday, the 21st of the month of Sivan, 5779 (2019)

After we, the undersigned, were appointed by the important Batei Din (Rabbinical Courts) in the Land of Israel to serve as a 'Beis Din' to clarify the dispute against the Chassidic Rabbi, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, the leader of the 'Shuvu Banim' community, and to instruct 'the path they shall walk and the deeds they shall do' (Exodus 18:20), and after Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a and his community also accepted upon themselves to be judged before this Beis Din; therefore, the Beis Din obligates all parties, from this day forward, to immediately cease all hatred, persecutions, quarrels, and slanders, and not to speak or publish any negative things about one another, nor any derogatory expressions or name-calling, in any way or manner—neither in writing, nor orally, nor through any written or broadcast media. Anyone who has any claim or response, legal matter, or lawsuit regarding this issue must bring and present all their claims for clarification and decision solely through this Beis Din. The Beis Din will appoint a special secretary (whose details will be published), through whom alone it will be possible to bring claims for clarification and decision before the Dayanim (Rabbinical Judges).

And upon this we have signed:

On behalf of the Badatz (Supreme Rabbinical Court) of Bnei Brak under the presidency of the Gaon (Torah genius), Rabbi Nissim Karelitz: [Rabbi] Sariel Rosenberg, Ra'avad (Head of the Rabbinical Court) of the Badatz of Bnei Brak and Av Beis Din (Head of the Court) of the 'Hayashar Vehatov' Badatz.

On behalf of the Badatz of the Edah HaChareidis of Jerusalem: Rabbi Yehuda Fischer, member of the Badatz of the Edah HaChareidis.
