With great Heavenly assistance, the “Hitchadshus” issue has been published — a Breslov Shuvu Banim Chassidic magazine from the treasures of the holy gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a — beautiful and expanded for the month of Av 5782. Below is a brief overview of what’s included in the enlarged issue and its accompanying supplements:

So what’s in Issue #42?
“Beis Chayeinu” — a series of articles on the history of our Beis Midrash building in the Old City, marking forty years (5742–5782) since the yeshivah moved into the building in the Old City:
“And the House, as It Was Being Built” — The “Hitchadshus” team dove into the building’s history and brought back memories going back more than 130 years, to when the “Chayei Olam” building was purchased. They trace the different eras the building passed through, until Shuvu Banim arrived there—revealing rare documents and photographs, published here for the first time. / Nachman Gilad
“Your Beginning Was Small” — How Mayor Teddy Kollek tried to expel—by every means, including everything—the ba’alei teshuvah yeshivah “Shuvu Banim,” and what “secret weapon” the police found in the major raid on the yeshivah…? / Nachman Gilad
“Atikah Kedishah” — Veteran students of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a speak about the yeshivah’s earliest years: the flame that was ignited forty years ago by The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a, the Shabbosos and Yamim Tovim there, and words about the greatness of the place. / Nachman Gilad
“A Living Man, Great in Deeds” — The son-in-law of The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a—R. Natan Rubinstein shlit"a—in a conversation filled with fascinating stories and new revelations about the leader of our community, the holy gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender zt"l, and about the connection between Rabbi Levi Yitzchak zt"l and, may he be granted long life, The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. / Meir Yaav"tz
“Pour Out Your Heart Like Water…” — The transportation system to the field that began about two years ago during the COVID lockdowns is astonishing by any measure. In a conversation with the “Hitchadshus” staff, Rabbi Yaakov Yosef Godelbsky—who carries the tremendous burden of this mighty undertaking that The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a founded about fifty years ago—tells us about open miracles. We stand in awe at the self-sacrifice, and we learn about the enormous costs. The road to the field… / Nachman Gilad
“HaHamtakos” — There is hardly a young person in Breslov who doesn’t know the words, “Ribbono Shel Olam, sweeten…” In a candid interview, he tells the story of how the song was created. Alongside his extensive activity in the synagogue “Heichal HaGvanim HaMishtanim,” the shaking life story of R. Nachman Sonnenschein carries a powerful, strengthening message for every parent facing challenges. A moving monologue. / Nachman Gilad
“Among the Trees of the Forest” — True, the north is packed with travelers during Bein HaZmanim, but they apparently still haven’t heard about the Baal Shem Tov Forest. Somewhere between Tzfas and Meron, in the middle of a forest called “Ya’ar HaBaal Shem Tov,” there is a route of kevarim of Tzaddikim—almost no hikers are found there—and you can discover a refuge of quiet and calm. / Natan Or Ashad
All this and more, alongside the regular columns: a strengthening talk, Embers of Fire, Pleasant Conversation, Strengthening, Illuminations, Torah in Power, and more and more…
Alongside the magazine issue—nearly one hundred stunning, full-color pages—two supplements were included: “HaMechadesh” and “Shtilim.”
In the “HaMechadesh” supplement you’ll find 24 pages filled with goodness, including full coverage from the last two months in the presence of The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a: “Let the Pure Ones Come…”—a Chumash celebration for first-grade children in Nachamas Tzion with The Rav Rabbi Berland shlit"a participating. “Kibbutz Shavuos”—the Festival of the Giving of the Torah in the presence of the Tzaddik. “Hold Back Your Voice from Weeping…”—Erev Rosh Chodesh Av at the kever of Rachel Imeinu. “Into the Inner Sanctum”—coverage of the shiurim in the home of The Rav shlit"a for the various groups from around the country and within our holy community. And more and more—what is seen and heard around The Rav, in addition to the community news section.
The “Shtilim” supplement for the Tzaddik’s children: this month the booklet expands with several new sections, including “In the Merit of the Mitzvah of Pidyon Shevuyim”—a new and fascinating serialized comic. Nachman and Natan following “Otzar HaMidos.” Alongside the regular sections: “Maaseh Rav”—36 consecutive hours of learning. “The Rav’s Words” for the young flock, and this month: that all vitality comes from prayer—“A Prayer to the G-d of My Life.” “In the Ways of the Tzaddikim”—the Kibbutz of 5681 without fear. All this, and many more sections—voweled and suited for the young holy flock, the Tzaddik’s children.
All this goodness—and much more we did not mention—you can find within the 132 pages of the magazine and supplements, with rare photographs (some published here for the first time), facts and accounts, stories and chizuk for the entire family, in the light and from the treasures of The Rav Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
