Fresh from the Oven: Words of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for Purim of Unwalled Cities 5779
The holy words of the esteemed tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the night of Purim of unwalled cities 5779.
"We see his righteousness that he did with Israel, he made it possible for them to rejoice and dance for one day. He made it possible for them to get intoxicated as permitted, all according to what is allowed. The simcha (joy) is only the joy of the neshamah (soul) because of the body, for the matter of 'until one does not know' on Purim, is to completely transcend the body, no body remains, on Purim one merits that no body remains. On Purim, one transcends the body and ascends to the fiftieth gate."
"The Zohar says in Parshat 'Shlach Lecha' that Esther is royalty, she is the divine spirit, Esther completely transcended the body. 'Establish me for generations,' it became clear to Esther that every movement of hers was written in the Megillah. Every movement of hers, every thought she thought was written in the Megillah, if a person merits, then every thought of theirs is written, every movement of theirs is written, every contemplation of theirs is written. In this, Esther merited that every movement and contemplation of hers were written for generations."
"They said, what is another book? They already finished writing books! Because Chanukah is not a book, there are only external books for Chanukah, books of the Maccabees, but the miracle of Purim was written in a book that entered the Tanach. On the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia (Esther 10), from here we learn that every movement of Esther was with the divine spirit, everything Esther did was with the divine spirit."
