Fresh from the Oven: Words of the Esteemed Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
for Purim of Unwalled Cities 5779

The holy words of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for the night of Purim of the Unwalled Cities, 5779.
"We see the righteousness that he performed for Israel; he made it so they could rejoice and dance for one day. He made it so they could become intoxicated within what is permitted, all according to what is permitted. The joy is only the joy of the soul because of the body, because the matter of 'until one does not know' on Purim is that one exits the body completely; no body remains. On Purim, one merits that no body remains. On Purim, one exits the body and ascends to the fiftieth gate."
"The Zohar says in Parashat 'Shelach Lecha' that Esther is Malchut (Kingship), she is the Ruach HaKodesh (Divine Inspiration); Esther exited the body completely. 'Establish me for the generations,' it became clear to Esther that every movement of hers was written in the Megillah. Every movement of hers, every thought that she thought was written in the Megillah; if a person merits, then every thought of his is written, every movement of his is written, every contemplation of his is written. Through this, Esther merited that every movement and contemplation of hers was written for all generations."
"They said, what is this, another book? They had already finished writing books! Because Chanukah is not a book; there are only external books for Chanukah, books of the Maccabees, but the miracle of Purim was written in a book that entered the Tanakh. 'Upon the book of the chronicles of the kings of Media and Persia' (Esther 10); from here we learn that every movement of Esther was in Ruach HaKodesh, everything that Esther did was in Ruach HaKodesh."
