The First Holiday of the Second Yearly Cycle: Shavuot 5778 with the Rav shlit"a in Jerusalem, the Holy City

After completing a full year with the Rav shlit"a, including all the holidays, we have merited—thank God—and this past Shavuot signaled the start of the second year together with the Rav shlit"a. Many of our followers (Anash) from all over the country gathered to celebrate the holiday of Shavuot together with the Rav shlit"a. Despite the advance preparations by the Ichud (the Union) to organize several study locations for the night of Shavuot, all locations were extremely crowded. However, when there is room in the heart, there is room for everyone. Thank God, we merited what is written: "No man ever said, 'The space is too tight for me in Jerusalem.'" All the followers who gathered for Shavuot with the Rav shlit"a merited to celebrate the holiday with a special spiritual elevation.

The Rav shlit"a in a Special Reception at His Home on the Eve of Shabbat and the Eve of Shavuot, in His Holy Residence

Leading up to the great day of receiving the Torah, the Rav shlit"a issued a special request: anyone who is able to help with the maintenance expenses of the Rav's house should try to donate 1,000 NIS. The donors merited to enter and give their donation directly to the Rav shlit"a himself and receive a special blessing for the holy holiday of Shavuot.

The Rav shlit"a in a Pilgrimage Ceremony to the Western Wall on Isru Chag Shavuot (the day after the holiday) Together with Many of Our Followers

We all anticipate and yearn for the great moment of the complete Geulah (Redemption), for the great day when "there we will ascend, appear, and prostrate ourselves..." But in the depths of exile, when due to our many sins our Holy Temple is destroyed "and we cannot ascend and appear before You...", Hashem sent us the Western Wall, the place from which the Shechinah (Divine Presence) has never departed.

On Isru Chag Shavuot, the Rav shlit"a ascended to the Western Wall for prayer and supplication, together with dozens of our followers who ascended with him.

By Order of the Rav shlit"a: Changes in the Daily Study Schedule of Ketzos HaChoshen

Two weeks after the start of the daily study of Ketzos HaChoshen (a fundamental work of Jewish law), the Rav shlit"a issued an additional instruction: Fridays and Saturdays are designated for review and repetition of the pages studied during the week. Consequently, the page printed in the latest Ketzos HaChoshen pamphlet that was intended for this Friday has been postponed to this coming Sunday.
