"His Hand Is Open to All Who Rise Early in the Morning" • The Bochurim of Chochmah V’Daas Merit to Receive 'Orchos Tzaddikim' in the Inner Sanctuary

The precious bochurim of Chochmah V’Daas merited to receive the holy sefer 'Orchos Tzaddikim' from The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in recognition of their steadfastness in the yeshivah’s learning schedule on Fridays

Last year, an initiative was launched with the encouragement of The Rav shlit"a to strengthen the bochurim of the Chochmah V’Daas Yeshivah to be meticulous with the yeshivah’s learning schedule on Fridays—especially with tefillah. It is well known that throughout the yeshivah world, Friday is often a time of laxity. In order to encourage the bochurim to take part in this strengthening initiative, the yeshivah administration announced that those bochurim who would be careful and consistent—rising early for Shacharis and presenting themselves for the learning sessions on Fridays—would merit to enter the inner sanctuary to receive a gift from the hands of The Rav shlit"a. When the yeshivah staff asked The Rav what token should be brought for the bochurim, The Rav instructed them to give the bochurim the mussar sefarim 'Mesillas Yesharim' and 'Orchos Tzaddikim'—and that the bochurim should learn from them. And indeed, as we previously reported here, whoever merited to fulfill the initiative during the winter of 5783 merited to enter the inner sanctuary of The Rav shlit"a and receive from his holy hands the holy sefer 'Mesillas Yesharim' by the Ramchal.

Now, the bochurim who merited to rise early for Shacharis and to be meticulous with the yeshivah schedule on Fridays during the summer of 5783 also merited to enter. The Rav shlit"a distributed to these cherished bochurim the holy sefer 'Orchos Tzaddikim,' and The Rav wrote a personal dedication for each and every bochur.
