"I TOO MERITED TO GIVE THE 'MACHATZIS HASHEKEL' TO THE TREASURY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED HOUSE OF STUDY" • The Most Excellent Half-Shekel!

The Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) in a rare testimony from his letter regarding the Machatzis HaShekel (Half-Shekel) for the treasury of the "Shuvu Banim" synagogue, which is a miniature Sanctuary—the House of Study of the Tzaddik.

And thus The Rav shlit"a (may he live long and good days) testifies about himself: "I TOO MERITED TO GIVE THE 'MACHATZIS HASHEKEL' (HALF-SHEKEL) TO THE TREASURY OF THE AFOREMENTIONED HOUSE OF STUDY".

By the instruction of the Rabbis, this year the amount for the Machatzis HaShekel (Half-Shekel) is forty New Israeli Shekels per person. Do not delay; transfer the Half-Shekel funds now through a secured system.

Transfer the Machatzis HaShekel (Half-Shekel) funds here now and you will merit to act according to the deed of the Tzaddik, who transferred the Half-Shekel funds for himself and his family to the treasury of the 'Shuvu Banim' synagogue.

Before you is a prayer to say before giving the Machatzis HaShekel (Half-Shekel):

Master of the World, Almighty, merit me to increase in tzedakah (charity), and through this, "that there be no plague among them when they are counted," for through tzedakah one is saved from all calamities, from all decrees, and from all the illnesses in the world. May I always increase in tzedakah, and not fear tomorrow or what is to come, and not worry about anything when I give tzedakah. May I never fear, and may I distribute to tzedakah with both hands, as it is said, "He distributed, he gave to the needy; his righteousness endures forever," and as it is written, "There is one who scatters and yet increases more." And may I merit, through this scattering for tzedakah, to be included in the Nukva d'Pardashka (the 'nostril' of the Divine Countenance), the right opening, from where the spirit of life of the Resurrection of the Dead originates—which Yocheved and Miriam drew down for the children of Israel. Through this, they merited long life, the Giving of the Torah, and hearing the Ten Commandments. In the merit of the tzedakah, may my mind be opened, and may all the screens that cover my mind and prevent me from understanding things clearly be removed. Rather, in the merit of the tzedakah, may I merit from now on to understand everything I study. In the merit of the tzedakah, may I merit to heal all the sick in the world, to resurrect the dead, and to bring the complete Geulah (Redemption) in the blink of an eye, Amen, Netzach, Sela, Va'ed.
