"I Will Sit in Prison for Two Years Instead of 12 Years, and From This Goodness Will Grow for Israel" - the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

"A short time before they arrested our teacher Rav Berland, the Rav spoke several times that, God forbid, he was going to sit in prison for 12 years; many people heard this."
A wonderful testimony about words of our teacher, his honor the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, long before it was ruled against him to sit in prison for two years. The testimony is from the Tzaddik Line (02-532-6502).
"One of our people—I heard this firsthand—asked the Rav: How is it possible to sweeten the decree? The Rav answered him: They should travel at night to Hebron, and in this way they will sweeten the decree. Indeed, at night they organized two minibuses with people who traveled to Hebron."
"The next morning the Rav arrived very happy and said to the one who organized the minibuses: You sweetened the decree; now I will sit only two years."
"That person thought to himself: If ten years can be sweetened through a trip to Hebron—so he asked the Rav: How can we sweeten it so that the Rav won’t sit at all?"
"The Rav said to him: You’re thinking only about yourself; you’re not thinking about others!—all kinds of words along these lines. Afterwards, the Rav told him to come to him in the evening. When he came to him in the evening, the Rav repeated and said: You’re thinking only about yourself; you’re not thinking about others; you’re not thinking about the goodness that will grow from this—afterwards it will be so good!"
"That person reminded the Rav that he had said that after he gets out of prison he will be more with the community. The Rav repeated and told him that he is not thinking about others, and that afterwards such great things will grow from this! From all this we see that Rav Berland is leading an immense campaign here, and that the tzaddik sees everything."
We will return, with Hashem's help, later to the wonderful testimony with which we began, and we will move on to the wonderful words of Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi shlit"a—words that in a wondrous way echo the words of our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.
In words he delivered on the night of 27 Kislev 5782, Rabbi Nir Ben Artzi shlit"a related to the way Mashiach our righteous one will be revealed. These are his words.
"And it came to pass at the end of two full years, that Pharaoh dreamed, and behold, he stood by the river" (Genesis 41:1)
"Two years passed—Yosef was supposed to be in the pit for at least another 10 years, or 5, or 10, but not just another two years. But the Creator of the world shortened the time to two years, just as Hashem reduced the exile to 210 years... Pharaoh dreams only after two years."
And we will return to the wonderful testimony from the Tzaddik Line, which shows how far the true tzaddik—our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a—can see, and how far his battle reaches for the sake of the complete redemption of Israel, with Hashem's help."More about Hebron: One of our people told me that after the Rav was arrested, he was in contact with the Rav and asked the Rav how he could help him. The Rav told him to travel every night to Hebron. Also, when they arrested the Rav, they said in his name that the Rav said to travel to Hebron and say seven Tikkun HaKlali. We see that the matter of Hebron is very important. There were also many battles over the gatherings in Hebron; the police fought against it. We see that this is something very important."
"Another story: About 10 years ago there was much talk that the Rav said that now he is beginning to fight with the kelipah (husk) of the Zionists. Since then, a lot of time has passed."
"And in the period decades ago, when they traveled to Uman with forged passports, the Rav constantly spoke that they were fighting with the kelipah of Russia and that they would fall. And a year before they fell the Rav said: Just a little more—they are falling. Indeed, in the end they fell in a wondrous way without any war."
"We see that the tzaddik—his battle is at the root; it is a different battle than what we think. Our help is only through prayers, each person as he merits. All the gatherings, the assemblies, the holy things—this is truly the battle. The battle is there; the Rav fights them at the root of the matters."
