If We Don't Study 24 Hours, Then We Go to Gaza - The Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a from the Prayer Rally Following the Dismantling of the Prayer Tent

Continuation of the holy words of our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a from the prayer rally after the dismantling of the prayer tent and the Beis Medrash (study hall) – "'And the children shall return to their borders' (Jeremiah 31:16) - this is literal, to return all the children to their borders, this is the goal of Shuvu Banim."

These are his holy words: It is possible to bring 500,000 soldiers in a single second; it is a lie that the young men do not want to enlist. King David had an army, but in the time of King Hezekiah, they studied Torah 24 hours a day, so an army was not necessary.

If one does not study 24 hours a day, then they go to Gaza. Everyone here is ready to enlist, everyone is ready to be soldiers, everyone is ready to serve the country and die for the sake of the homeland. This is the slogan; this is how we grew up—"It is good to die for our country." On the 11th of Adar, Joseph Trumpeldor fell, and we used to sing this. "It is good to die for our country" is the slogan of all of Israel, of all the yeshiva students. Everyone has the same slogan, everyone has the same desire.

Shuvu Banim has no other goal—only to bring people back in teshuvah (repentance). They do not go to protests, they do not incite against the state, they do not speak against Bibi (Netanyahu), they do not go to Kaplan Street and scream "Bibi is a murderer." When Bibi returned the hostages, they called him "this murderer," asking "Why didn't you do this a year ago? This is a sign that you are the greatest murderer." They made giant posters a hundred meters high in Los Angeles; Biden sees it written that "Bibi is a murderer." What will he say if the Jews themselves are saying this?

Gantz, during his time as Minister of Defense, said that Israel slaughters gentile children, Gazans. We know he is just a ruffian who ran away from yeshiva, but among the gentiles, he is called the Minister of Defense, and to this day they believe it. To this day, people cannot travel abroad; now it's like this throughout Europe—if they see a religious Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) person with a kippah (skullcap), if they see a Jewish appearance, they break his bones.

They are talking now about how Shuvu Banim wants to bring in all five hundred thousand "dropouts" (youth who have left the traditional path); therefore, we need a building with 500,000 floors, with a thousand people on each floor. Instead of a tent, we will build a building with 25 floors, or in the meantime, we will be here in this building (the municipality); now we come here every day regularly.

Now we are in a situation where there is no army, but in the Land of Israel, we do need an army. King David had an army, Joshua had an army, the Hasmoneans had an army—everyone had an army. We want the Mayor to be the Prime Minister, to continue the legacy of "Gandhi" (Rehavam Ze'evi).

We will come here every day until the end of our lives, until we have a building of 500 floors, and then five hundred thousand dropouts will be able to come. These youths are looking for a bit of chayos (vitality), they are looking for a bit of a niggun (spiritual melody). On Simchas Torah, I walked through all of Haifa to find a niggun; I walked and did not find one. In Karlin, they danced for about fifteen minutes; eventually, I went to Kfar Hasidim and they danced a bit there. But we wanted to dance for the entirety of Simchas Torah, so in Breslov, we would dance until 5:00 AM. With your father, we would dance until 5:00 AM, starting at 8:00 PM and dancing until 5:00 AM. Just dancing and dancing—we would dance for 36 hours. Thirty-six hours of dancing is the hamshacha (drawing down) of all miracles and wonders. This is how one acts so that there will be no Gaza, no Hamas, nothing at all.

We are now coming here every night until we receive a building of 25 floors and 103 dunams (approx. 25 acres). Because all the officers in the IDF today are in Shuvu Banim. Shuvu Banim is not against the state, nor are they criminals—there are no criminals here. All the young men here are the best young men, the salt of the earth. The salt of the earth is in Shuvu Banim today, all the commanders, everyone.

Earlier we spoke about Eliyahu Merav and told how he jumped from a plane at a height of 10 meters. Shuvu Banim came to save this country; all of Israel will begin to keep Shabbat in the merit of Shuvu Banim. Shuvu Banim is the only place that can transform the People of Israel, and then the hostages will not have to keep Shabbat in the tunnels; on the contrary, they will keep it through dancing and song. They will perform teshuvah (repentance) through dancing and song.

Therefore, we are coming here tomorrow at seven until the end of our lives, until we receive a building of 500 floors.
