Presented here is a prayer that Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a wrote in recent days for an article published in the magazine “Hitchadshus” about Ezra the Scribe, in honor of his yahrtzeit, which is observed today, the Tenth of Teves.
Here is the prayer to read:
A PRAYER TO EZRA THE SCRIBE
Master of the World, Almighty, from Whom no plan is withheld— in the merit of Ezra the Scribe, may the verse about Yerushalayim be fulfilled in us: “Until 74 shall go forth 101 like the brightness 78 her righteousness 199 and her salvation 797 like a torch 144 shall burn” 282 = 1675. And through this, may we merit to pray by day 96 and by night 81 = 177, and to enter Gan Eden with our bodies = 177. And through this it will be: “Our mouth 146 will be filled 71 with song 513 like the sea 70, and our tongue 448 with joyous praise 255 like the roar 121 of its waves” 49 [= 1675]. And through this we will merit: “A new 515 song 317—praise 316, redeemed ones 90, to Your great Name 390” 48 = 1676. And through this, may you 433 speedily 250 merit to see 637 the rebuilding 114 of Ariel 242 = 1676.
