Rabbi Herman Loonstein an attorney and senior figure in the Jewish community of Amsterdam: "It is all still rumors, we still don't know anything. If it's true that Rabbi Berland left then the Jewish community will feel a loss, lose it's radiance, it's vibrancy. We wish him all the best and hope he will return to us in the future.
