"Just Seeing the Rebbe Already Made Them Do Teshuvah!" • Melaveh Malkah Parshat Chayei Sarah from the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Before you is a summary of topics from the lesson as delivered by our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), during the fourth meal, Melaveh Malkah (the meal accompanying the departing Queen), on the conclusion of the holy Shabbat, Parshat Chayei Sarah:
The Rebbe [Rebbe Nachman] says that the Tzaddik shines for everyone. There were three apikorsim (heretics) who came to mock Rebbe Nachman, but as soon as they saw the Rebbe, they already did teshuvah (repentance). For Hashem is greater than all gods—the God of the Jews, not of the Christians or the Muslims. Every moment that a person strengthens themselves, the entire world is strengthened. One must break the Xiaomi (smartphone) and the internet; President Bush said 20 years ago that the greatest disaster for humanity is the internet. The Americans told Netanyahu that at most 150 missiles would be fired at you that they have left in stock; Bibi did not agree, so they issued an arrest warrant for him for all of Europe. Except for Uman, he cannot travel anywhere. Whoever breaks the Xiaomi, another million people break theirs in his merit. Every girl who lengthens her skirt, another million girls lengthen theirs. One must study with his wife Chayei Moharan (The Life of Rebbe Nachman) section 194 regarding Columbus and Socrates, who spoke against the desires of this world. A woman who has no worldly desires, her sons will fly in the air like Zeruiah the daughter of Jesse; Avishai saved David when he was kidnapped. Sarah was also kidnapped; that same night Pharaoh received all the plagues. They were not able to release Dinah; Shimon and Levi killed the entire city, and Jacob disagreed with them. The Rambam (Maimonides) rules like Shimon and Levi that they were all liable for death. The Ramban (Nachmanides) disagrees and says that was not the reason they were liable for death, because they already wanted to convert. Shechem ben Chamor was reincarnated in Rabbi Hanina ben Teradion, and he had to be burned because he did not have bitul (nullification/submission) to the Tzaddikim. Also Rabbi Akiva, who was a spark of Zimri, did not have bitul to Rabbi Eliezer the Great and therefore underwent iron combs. In every wicked person, there is a spark of a Tzaddik. Columbus was a Jew; Columbus discovered the land of diamonds. Only the Jews knew how to smuggle diamonds. The Chacham Tzvi (Rabbi Tzvi Ashkenazi) would guide people on how to smuggle diamonds and would warn them to give a tithe to the Chacham Tzvi, and those who didn't all died strange deaths. Everyone should sit with his wife and read all the stories about Columbus and Socrates. And read every day three pages from Likutey Halachot (The Collected Laws), regarding Hannah the Prophetess, who saw what would happen on Chanukah, which was eight hundred years later, and also on Purim, which was five hundred and eighty years before. The Arizal (Rabbi Isaac Luria) says that Hannah prayed for Chanukah – Chana 26 [referring to the numerical value of Hashem's name]. Only the woman knows how to draw down the Thirteen Attributes of Mercy. The man, if he does not study Gemara (Talmud), he throws stones, as brought in Choshen Mishpat 154 (the section of the Code of Jewish Law dealing with neighbors) that it is the way of boys to throw stones. The woman arrives home after Shabbat and within five minutes makes the house shine like a pharmacy (spotless). Everyone should learn with his wife that Hannah prayed for Mashiach (the Messiah): "He will give strength to His king and raise the horn of His anointed," so that in the merit of Hannah and the righteous daughters, Mashiach ben David will come speedily in our days, Amen!
