Kiddush Levanah (Blessing of the New Moon) with a Great Spiritual Awakening on the Night Following Yom Kippur with the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Many Jewish communities have the custom of reciting Kiddush Levanah (the Blessing of the New Moon) specifically on the night following Yom Kippur. The reason for this is that until Yom Kippur, we are still in a state of "pending judgment," and the Kiddush Levanah must be recited with great joy.

Immediately following the holy prayers, which were conducted with a great spiritual awakening in the central minyan (prayer quorum) of the Breslov Chassidim at the "Shul" (synagogue) in Mea Shearim, Jerusalem, together with the holy Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), the public gathered around the Rav shlit"a to recite Kiddush Levanah with a powerful awakening and holy enthusiasm.

After the Kiddush Levanah was recited with deliberation, spiritual awakening, and immense joy, the orchestra began to play, and all the worshippers danced around.
