After we published the rare recording in which the holy Admor Rabbi David Abuhatzeira expresses himself regarding the Gaon and Tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a—"Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a is an angel, he is not a human being, nothing can be grasped in him"—wonderful words from the Admor Rabbi David shlit"a regarding Rav Berland shlit"a have reached us.

"On the holy Motzaei Shabbat of Parshat Metzora, I arrived together with several other students of our master, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, at the holy abode of Rabbi David Abuhatzeira," relates Rabbi Shlomo Weisel. "We spoke with him about the situation of our master Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a and about the prayers and cries that the people of Israel have offered for the success and health of the Rav shlit"a. We added with pain that there must be a resolution in our eyes. Rabbi David shlit"a, as soon as he heard these things, waved his hand dismissively and replied, 'They cannot overcome him, they cannot overcome him; Rav Eliezer Berland is a great tzaddik and they cannot overcome him.' At that same occasion, the holy Admor Rabbi David Abuhatzeira showered him with blessings, and we saw how much Rabbi David loves our master Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a with his heart and soul."

Rabbi Shlomo Weizman, whose pained voice reveals his anguish over the desecration of the tzaddik's name, adds and relates that he merited on the holy Motzaei Shabbat after Lag BaOmer 5775 to spend Shabbat in Nahariya and bask in the shadow of the tzaddik Rabbi David Abuhatzeira shlit"a. "After the Arvit prayer of the holy Motzaei Shabbat, we merited to accompany the holy Admor Rabbi David to his home, and on the way, I turned to him and asked him what will be with the persecutions against our master Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, as well as the holy community that exerts self-sacrifice to survive in his presence; our hearts are torn. Rabbi David shlit"a turned toward me and replied: 'Everything that is happening with the tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland is mysteries and deep secrets; there are heavenly processes here, and you should know that there is no one in the entire generation who guards the covenant like Rav Berland shlit"a.' During his words, we saw that the holy Admor Rabbi David was truly moved to the point of tears. As if that were not enough, Rabbi Weizman adds that Rabbi David shlit"a later added and told him awesome things about the Rav and commanded him not to publish these things. We have merited that Hashem has planted in our generation a mighty soul of such a tzaddik as the Gaon and Tzaddik Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, who publicizes and illuminates the light of Hashem in the path of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov."
