Moshiach Has Already Crossed the Threshold — and What Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a Says About It
A Jew from Monsey, New York, who went in to HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky shlit"a before Rosh Hashanah 5777, was asked by him: “What about you—are you going back to Chutz LaAretz?” Then Rabbi Chaim declared: “Moshiach has already crossed the threshold; Moshiach has already passed through the doorway.”
After Rosh Hashanah, in the middle of the month of Tishrei, that same Jew returned again to HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky. On that occasion he asked Rabbi Chaim shlit"a, “The Rav said that Moshiach crossed the threshold—where is he?”
HaGaon Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky answered him:
“He is already closer.”
These wondrous words join the holy words of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland in his most recent shiurim. May it be Hashem’s will that the true Redeemer come speedily and with abundant mercy, as the Rav shlit"a desires: that all of Am Yisrael be redeemed.
