Listen: Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a addresses the destruction and ruin carried out today by the Israel Police together with Jerusalem Municipality inspectors at his home on HaChoma HaShlishit Street in Jerusalem. "All this persecution against us is because they want to stop the movement of bringing people back to teshuvah (repentance) and the strengthening of the Nation of Israel in the Holy Torah," and "they want to take revenge on me for slipping out of their hands."

This morning, Jerusalem Municipality inspectors arrived together with a Yasam (Special Patrol Unit) police force at the home of the leader of the Shuvu Banim community, the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

on HaChoma HaShlishit Street in Jerusalem, and began to demolish a balcony that was apparently built without permits 18 years ago.

The roofed balcony served as a study room and a place for receiving the public for Rabbi Eliezer Berland during his time in the Land [of Israel], until three years ago when he left the country.

Among the Rabbi's followers, this was seen as a continuation of the ongoing campaign of persecution against their Rabbi, and as clear revenge by the authorities for Rabbi Berland's disappearance in recent weeks,

According to one of the Rabbi's close associates, there is no logic that a balcony which has stood

for 18 years without interference should be slated for demolition specifically today!!

This evening, Rabbi Berland sends a message to his followers from his unknown location, stating the following message:

"This is a house where, for years, Torah was studied and prayers were held, where activities and Torah classes took place. To destroy it now is wickedness without parallel."

"They only did this as revenge because the Rav suddenly slipped out of their hands, so now they are searching through all the authorities for ways to take revenge on the Berland family."

"This is simple revenge, open and exposed for all to see, without any moral justice or legal justice."

"They targeted the Rav only to impose their wickedness!!"

"They see that the Rav and the Rabbanit have been bringing the Nation of Israel back in teshuvah (repentance) for years, and they are only looking for ways to stop the spread of teshuvah."

"And now we must gather strength and increase our activities even more, to show them that they will not succeed in any of their plots, because it is clear"

"that they did this only for the sake of revenge!!"
