Make it Pleasant • A Lesson and Test for 7th Grade Students of Emunas Tzion

On Monday, the 25th of Tammuz, Parshas Mattos-Masei, a ceremony of testing and a lesson was held for the 7th-grade students of the Emunas Tzion Talmud Torah (elementary school) of the 'Nachalei Netzach' institutions, headed by the honorable Chassid Rabbi Shmuel Stern shlit"a (may he live long and good days).
The event took place at the residence of our teacher, the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. First, the precious children were tested on what they learned over the past year, demonstrating great proficiency in all the material studied. One after another, they provided fluent answers showing the extensive knowledge they acquired during their studies at the Emunas Tzion Talmud Torah this past year. After the test, our teacher the Rav shlit"a delivered a lesson to the pure children for about half an hour. During the lesson, he encouraged them in the study of Gemara (Talmud) and spoke extensively from Lesson 85 in Likutey Moharan regarding the days of Bein HaMetzarim (the Three Weeks of mourning for the Temple) and many other topics in his holy way. After the lesson concluded, the precious children passed one by one before the holy Rav. The Rav shlit"a showered love upon each and every one of them as if they were his own sons. With a radiant countenance, he inquired of each child where he was holding in his studies, encouraging and strengthening every boy. Great satisfaction was visible on the holy face of our teacher the Rav shlit"a to see the sweet fruits meriting to rise higher in Torah and middos (character traits) in the path of our holy Rebbe (Rebbe Nachman).
