Mandatory: A Rare and Moving Meeting Between the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a and the Esteemed Rabbi Reuven Elbaz shlit"a, Head of the Or HaChaim Yeshiva

Following the rare photo gallery we presented from the brit held at the home of the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, attended by the esteemed Rabbi Reuven Elbaz shlit"a, we bring you a rare meeting held between these holy tzaddikim. The meeting took place at the home of Rav Berland shlit"a, where we learn about the love and respect these two tzaddikim have for each other. At the beginning, Rabbi Berland said to Rabbi Elbaz: "We have not met for 40 years, since 5738 until today, 5778." Rabbi Berland began his words to Rabbi Elbaz shlit"a.

"Today we meet to unite all the ends, all the panels, to anchor everything and go out together to Am Yisrael. Am Yisrael will see the unity and they will run; the moment Am Yisrael sees the unity, everyone will return in teshuvah, keep Shabbat, and put on tefillin. Every Jew wants to put on tefillin, every Jew wants to keep Shabbat, this is the essence of every Jew, as we learned about the bones of Yosef in the parsha. The essence of every Jew is only to serve Hashem. But there are all kinds of questions and confusions, and we need to answer all the questions of every Jew, not to leave any question unanswered."

Rabbi Elbaz shlit"a responded: "The holy Zohar says that none of Am Yisrael descended into the impurities of Egypt, in this Am Yisrael was sworn to remain in kedushah."

Rabbi Michael Gol, head of the Mageni Eretz Yeshiva, who was also present at the meeting, added to Rabbi Elbaz shlit"a: "The Rabbi (Elbaz) said he does not leave his yeshiva (Or HaChaim), but when he heard that the Rabbi (Berland) would be the sandak, he was happy to come."

Then Rabbi Elbaz blessed Rabbi Berland: "To life, honorable Rabbi, may you merit a good and happy life."
