Maoz Tzur Yeshuati (Rock of Ages, my Salvation) ◇ Documentation from the lighting of the fifth candle in the holy residence of the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

עורך ראשי

On the fifth night of Hanukkah, a time of thanksgiving and praise for the revealed and hidden miracles, tens of thousands of the People of Israel lit the fifth candle of Hanukkah, to add the light of joy and submission before Hashem (the Name, blessed be He).

Our teacher and master, Rabbi Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) also lit the fifth candle of Hanukkah, and thousands of Anshei Shlomeinu (our community of followers) came to participate in the lighting ceremony, out of a desire to be strengthened and to be included in the light of Hanukkah.

Before you is documentation from the lighting ceremony in our Beis Medrash (study hall) and afterwards at the Hanukkah menorah of his holy residence, in an atmosphere of thanksgiving, prayer, and dveykus (attachment to the Divine).
