Marking One Year Since His Tragic Passing
A Yahrzeit Meal and Completion of the Entire Mishnayos in Memory of Shimon Heller z"l

On the first anniversary of the tragic drowning of the pure youth Shimon Heller, z"l, son of the esteemed R' Natan Heller, may he be blessed with long life, a Yahrtzeit seudah was held today in the hall of Yeshivat Mageni Eretz in his memory.
At the seudah, several of the mashpi'im of Anash and rabbis who are friends of the family spoke about the greatness of that pure and pristine youth who was summoned prematurely to the Yeshiva on High the day after Isru Chag Pesach last year, 5781.
The youth's father, who may be blessed with good and long life, the esteemed R' Natan Heller, shlit"a, also spoke, recounting Shimon's self-sacrifice for every holy matter and his connection to the Torah and the tzaddik.
This past Shabbat, our teacher Rav Berland, shlit"a, called R' Natan Heller, shlit"a, to the Torah, and between the aliyot, our teacher the Rav, shlit"a, eulogized Shimon, z"l, for a minute, speaking of the youth's greatness.
Last night, Motzaei Shabbat Kodesh, on the night of the Yahrtzeit, a Siyum Shas Mishnayot was held in his memory by the 'Chaburat Bnei HaNe'urim' of the Shuvu Banim community. From 2:30 AM until the first light of morning, the young men sat and studied the six orders of the Mishnah in his memory. At the conclusion held after Shacharit prayers, the young men—Shimon's friends—were strengthened by the esteemed R' Moshe Tzanani, shlit"a, one of the leading students of our teacher Rav Berland, shlit"a.
