Masses in the Simchat Torah March to the Kotel on the Night of the Holiday with
the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

On the holiday of Simchat Torah 5779, all communities of Israel gathered together to celebrate the completion of the Torah and its new beginning with dances and hakafot (circuits) together with the Torah scrolls. The Shuvu Banim community also gathered together around the Torah scrolls, and around the holy Torah scroll, the Rebbe, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. Immediately after the evening prayer of the holiday, Rav Berland shlit"a began the holy journey of the hakafot, walking for kilometers together with the entire multitude through the streets of the holy city.
The scene was spectacular; thousands of chassidim and the people of Israel danced with the Torah scrolls in the streets of Jerusalem, with the Rebbe, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a leading the procession with pride. The Rav shlit"a led everyone to the Western Wall plaza, where they continued the Simchat Torah hakafot deep into the night.
