New: Uman Is the Holy Rosh Hashanah Gathering — The Greatness of Traveling to Uman from the Mouth of the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
It is known that the main reason for the terrible campaign of persecution against the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a is that the Rav shlit"a draws many good people close to the Rock from which they were hewn. But more than anything, what is hardest for the opposing force is the Rav shlit"a’s great self-sacrifice in blazing the path to Uman and in spreading the path of Rebbe Nachman throughout the world. Before the Rav shlit"a came to Breslov Chassidut, he searched greatly for the true and correct path with which it is possible to bring satisfaction to Hashem, and the moment he found it, he began to bequeath it to tens of thousands among the people of Israel. Here are some of the holy sayings of our teacher, the holy tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland, about traveling to the holy tziyun on the days of Rosh Hashanah.
“The whole matter of the month of Elul is that a person does not damage his eyes, and then he can receive the light of Rosh Hashanah. For Rabbeinu rectifies everyone; the moment a person nullifies himself to the gathering, he does not deliberate whether to travel to Uman—he has no deliberations at all. Yes—Uman is the holy gathering; nullify yourself and do not deliberate. Come to the gathering and do not stand out—it's all the same letters. Be ‘covered’; if a person is ‘covered,’ he covers and conceals himself, and he has no question against the tzaddik—he merits to bring down Sisera.”
