Outrageous: Asaf Vidra, Husband of Shoshi Vidra
in a Provocative Interview on the True Reasons for the Persecution of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Asaf Vidra, may he live, the husband of the late Adele (Shoshi) Vidra, the cancer patient who passed away, and whose mother, under the guidance and direction of those who persecute Rav Berland, began the false witch hunt against the holy Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in a powerful interview in front of the court at the Russian Compound.
You are the son-in-law of Ms. Nurit Ben Moshe, who publishes negative things against Rav Berland. What do you have to say on this day when your Rav is being arrested with very harsh police violence?
"I have no words to describe the sorrow caused by the one-sided hearing of the facts. A kangaroo court has been conducted against Rav Berland; they did not hear me, they did not ask for my opinion. They threw behind their backs the fact that I am managing a libel lawsuit against Channel 13 after their biased coverage. They made a report that was entirely a collection of lies in an amount that cannot be described. The judge was shocked by the exposure, but they pushed her words aside and moved on. All the details in their report are lies, all the footage is a lie. Everything is proven; I have medical evidence for everything that happened."
"Therefore, we, people of sound mind, come here, crying out and pained by what they are doing to our teacher, Rav Berland. There is a way to handle everything. You have accusations, prove them in court, but it is forbidden to manufacture a case, give it names, and supposedly the name of the case is already a legal decision. Where has such a thing been heard?"
"It is indescribable, what kind of brainwashing is being done to public opinion in Israel. Because one must discuss what the Rav does with the pidyonot nefesh (redemption of souls). All the people around us are people who have been saved and are being saved by the Rav. These are people who walk in the path of simple faith, in the path of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, and that is how we want to live our lives."
"It is impossible to describe the persecution that the Shuvu Banim community is going through. This is a community that conducts itself like all other communities. It is a good and serious community, a loving and supportive community. We do not want to travel to doctors abroad and pay hundreds of thousands; we want to walk in the path of Torah and faith with a true tzaddik. This is the path of healing we chose, which is more pleasant for the body and soul."
"The story with the 700,000 shekels started long before my late wife's illness. I turned to the Rav and asked for advice, just as I turn to a person I trust and ask for advice on keeping the money that sits with us in cash and is eaten away from month to month. Rav Berland told us he would keep it for us in the form of a loan, and I could receive it whenever we asked. I lent it to Rav Berland, just as I lent it to other people, and the funds are returning to me, despite all the systemic difficulties we are going through here. No one extorted us, no one robbed or forced us; it was primarily the choice of my wife and also mine."
"All the years of her life and also during the period of the illness, my late wife opposed any smear campaign and negative speech against the Rav. She was a follower of Rav Berland and believed in him. My wife went through many pains; the Rav gave her much hope. In fact, he is the only one who did so. Later, when they started to enter and interfere in our situation, we were pushed to do chemotherapy and everything deteriorated."
"Nurit Ben Moshe believes that Rav Berland interfered, and that we should have gone with the doctors, which is why she is persecuting us. But, it is simply not true; we decided that we were leaving the path of conventional medicine long before we even consulted with Rav Berland. I have medical evidence that before the chemotherapy, my wife was strong, calm, and in a very good state physically and mentally - and we will prove this in court."
Why don't they bring you on for interviews in the media, while her mother is interviewed everywhere possible?
"They don't want to know the truth; they are afraid of the truth, because if I am saying a lie, then prove that it is a lie. I have documents that back up my words - and the people of Israel will decide if it is the truth or not."
