Outrageous: Asaf Vidra, Husband of Shoshi Vidra, in a Provocative Interview on the True Reasons for the Persecution of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Asaf Vidra shichye, husband of Edel (Shoshi) Vidra z"l, a cancer patient who passed away, and afterwards her mother, under the guidance and direction of those persecuting Rabbi Eliezer Berland, began a false campaign against the esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, in a powerful interview in front of the court at the Russian Compound.
You are the son-in-law of Mrs. Nurit Ben Moshe, who publishes negative things against Rabbi Berland. What do you have to say on this day when your rabbi is being arrested with very harsh police violence?
"I have no words to describe the sorrow caused by the one-sided hearing of the facts. A field trial was conducted against Rabbi Berland, they did not listen to me, they did not ask my opinion. They threw behind their backs the fact that I am conducting a libel lawsuit against Channel 13 after their biased coverage. They made a report that was entirely a heap of lies in an indescribable quantity. The judge was shocked by the exposure, but they threw her words behind and moved on. All the details in their report are lies, all the footage is lies. Everything is proven, I have medical evidence of everything that happened."
"Therefore, we, people who are settled in our minds, come here, shout and are pained by what is being done to our teacher Rabbi Berland. There is a way to handle everything. You have accusations, prove them in court, but it is forbidden to create a case, call it names, and as if the name of the case is already a legal decision. Where has such a thing been heard?"
"It is indescribable, the brainwashing being done to public opinion in Israel. Because, we need to discuss what Rabbi Berland does with the pidyonot nefesh. All the people around us are those who were saved and are being saved by the rabbi. These are people who walk the path of simple emunah, the path of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov, and this is how we want to live our lives."
"The persecution that the Shuvu Banim community is going through is indescribable. This is a community that operates like all communities. It is a good and serious community, a loving and supportive community. We do not want to travel to doctors abroad and pay hundreds of thousands, we want to follow the path of Torah and emunah with a true tzaddik. This is the path of healing we have chosen, which is more pleasant for the body and the neshamah."
"The story with the 700,000 shekels began long before my wife's illness z"l. I approached the rabbi and asked for advice, like I would approach someone I trust and ask for advice on keeping the money that sits with us in cash and is consumed month by month. Rabbi Berland told us he would keep it as a form of loan, and I could get it whenever we asked. I lent to Rabbi Berland, just as I lent to other people, and the funds are returning to me, despite all the systemic difficulties we are going through here. No one cheated us, no one robbed or forced us, it was mainly the choice of my wife and also mine."
"Throughout her life and even during her illness, my wife z"l opposed all the slander campaign and speaking ill against the rabbi. She was a chassidah of Rabbi Berland and believed in him. Many pains passed from my wife, the rabbi gave her much hope. In fact, he was the only one who did so. Afterwards, when they started to intervene in our situation, we were pushed to do chemotherapy and everything deteriorated."
"Nurit Ben Moshe believes that Rabbi Berland intervened, and that we should have gone with the doctors, therefore she persecutes us. But, this is simply not true, we decided that we are leaving the path of conventional medicine, long before we even consulted with Rabbi Berland. I have medical testimonies that before the chemotherapy my wife was strong, calm, and in a very good physical and mental state - and we will prove this in court."
Why don't they bring you up for interviews in the media, while her mother is interviewed everywhere possible?
"They do not want to know the truth, they are afraid of the truth, because if I am lying then prove that it is a lie. I have documents that support my words - and the people of Israel will decide if it is true or not."
