A Prayer of the Afflicted: The Joy of Yosef HaTzaddik

Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to be like Yosef HaTzaddik, about whom it is said:

"A successful man"

For he was always cheerful and joyous, jumping and dancing even in prison, even in the pit of Sheol where he saw no ray of light.

Eternal Light in the Midst of Darkness

For You were an eternal light for him, because he never diverted his mind from You, and he saw nothing besides You.
