Prayer Before Preparing the Cooking in Honor of Shabbat the Queen
Master of the Universe, Almighty, in the merit of the dozens of dishes that I will prepare in honor of holy Shabbat, grant me the merit to ascend from Malchut to Yesod, and from Yesod to Hod, and from Hod to Netzach, and from Netzach to Tiferet, and from Tiferet to Gevurah, and from Gevurah to Chesed, and from Chesed to Da'at, and from Da'at to Binah, and from Binah to Chochmah, and from Chochmah to Keter. May I merit on holy Shabbat to be in the World of Atzilut (Emanation), and may all the foods that I have prepared, along with all the souls within them, ascend to the World of Atzilut. There resides the soul of—Hashem is One—Serach (508) daughter of (402) Asher (501) = 1412, who merited to be a source (346) of Chochmah (73), and a spring (176) of Binah (67), and a river (261) of Da'at (474) = 1412. And in this merit, Hashem is One (1), "May your path (244) be (406) hedged (74) with roses (708)" = 1433. "For I dwell with (401) the crushed (25) and lowly (416) of spirit (214)" = 1433. "For Hashem (26) dwells (376) among (428) the children of (62) Israel (541)" = 1433. And in the merit of the Shabbat foods, "The wolf and the lamb shall graze together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox" = 1436. For on Shabbat, the Hidden Light shines, the light of the seven days of Creation. May I merit that the light of the seven days will enter the foods I prepare for Shabbat, and may I merit that the light of the seven days will encompass and enter the foods that I am preparing. Through this, may I merit an abundance of sons and daughters, as it is said, "And the children of Israel were fruitful, and swarmed, and multiplied, and became very, very mighty" = 1436, "And the salvation of the righteous (= 1436) is from Hashem, their stronghold in time of trouble." And because I am preparing the Shabbat foods with awe and love, and with love and awe, may I merit miracles and salvations (800) encompassing (636) = 1436, miracles and wonders. May I merit to change all of nature on Shabbat, and all the constellations of the heavens. In the merit of the preparation of the Shabbat foods, may I merit the verse, "Length of days is in her right hand; in her left hand are riches and honor." And through this, "You stretched out Your right hand, the earth swallowed them" = 1438, "May your coming be in peace and your departure be in peace" = 1438. And through preparing the Shabbat foods with awe and love, may I merit the tranquility of Shabbat (Shalvat Shabbat) = 1438.
