Prayer for Keeping Shabbat
2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, from whom no purpose can be withheld, save my brother Shai ben Shoshana from all evil. Let no harm befall him, Heaven forbid, for Your great Name will stand by us in times of trouble. May he, his wife, and all his descendants merit to keep Shabbat, put on tefillin, and fulfill the 613 mitzvot. May he merit that righteousness be the girdle of his loins, and faith the girdle of his waist.
5 2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, from whom no purpose can be withheld, grant me the merit, O Merciful and Gracious One, to pour out my heart like water before You. Grant me the merit to always be courageous, strong, and healthy for Your service, in all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews. Please [Gematria: 52 Father = 3 Merciful and Gracious, the God 36 the Holy 415 the Mighty 216 and the Awesome 268 = 1190], grant me the merit, O Merciful and Gracious One, to be healthy and strong. Fulfill in me the song, "The heritage of [488] Yaakov [182] he shall inherit [520] = 1190," a heritage without bounds, and may both rich and poor honor him. "And you will merit the Geulah (Redemption) if you keep the Shabbat day, and you shall be to Me a treasured possession." May I merit to be among Your treasured possession. Please perform miracles and wonders for me that have not yet occurred in all the earth since the six days of Creation.
2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit to know the Talmud, Rambam, Tur, Shulchan Aruch, Ketzot HaChoshen, Netivot HaMishpat, Tekafo Kohen, Likutey Moharan, Likutey Halachot, Likutey Tefillot, and Sipurey Ma'asiyot (Rebbe Nachman's Tales)—word for word, letter by letter, with both broad proficiency and deep analysis. Please, Hashem, my strength and my shield, in Him my heart trusted and I was helped; therefore my heart exults, and with my song I will thank Him. In this merit, Hashem is One, may I merit to keep Shabbat with the utmost beautification and joy. Please, Hashem is One, for You are the God who works salvations. Grant me the merit, Merciful Father, to shine like the sun at noon. Please, Hashem is One, give us understanding, Hashem our God, of Your ways, and grant us the merit, Hashem is One, of an abundance of blessing. May I merit, Hashem is One, the wisdom of Israel, the wisdom of the Torah. In this merit, Hashem is One, Merciful Father, grant dew and rain for a blessing, for You, Hashem, Merciful Father, sustain and provide for all, from the horns of the wild oxen to the eggs of lice. [Gematria: Hashem 26, Father 3, my strength 93, like the sun 660, and my shield 119, at noon 347, in Him 8 = 1010. Trusted 19, One 1, my heart 42, give us understanding 123, and I was helped 743, Hashem 26 = 1010. Our God 102, exults 123, to know 504, my heart 42, Your ways 234, and with my song 566 = 1010. I will thank Him 72, One 1 = 703. In abundance 452, One 1, of 330, Shabbat 702, blessing 227 = 703. 1010. One 1, One 1, God 31, wisdom 468, works 186, Israel 541, salvations 792 = 1010. 1010.]
2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit of true shalom bayit (marital harmony) and true love between me, Yigal Pedram ben Shirli, and my wife, Sheli Rachel. May my son, Nehorai Yisrael ben Sheli Rachel, be healthy and whole in all his 248 limbs and 365 sinews, and may he live a long life beside me and my wife for a full 120 years. May he be devoted to us, and may we merit every three years to have a kosher, righteous, wise, understanding, mighty, and healthy son or daughter, like Samson the mighty. May I too be healthy, whole, and strong like Samson the mighty, so that I can protect them, my wife, and all of the Jewish people, and help all of the Jewish people. May I always donate and give charity, and may charity always save us from death. With Hashem's help, may You draw down to us joy from the Atik Yomin (the Ancient of Days - a high Kabbalistic level of Divine mercy), and may we be able to earn a parnassah (livelihood) from the business we work in. May we succeed in covering all our checks, and may no check ever bounce, Heaven forbid. May we never have any debts, from now until eternity. With Hashem's help, may I, my wife, my sons, and my daughters continue to keep the mitzvot and Shabbat physically as well, forever, for a full 120 years. [Gematria: Samson 696, Ancient 580, of Days 116 = 696.]
2 Master of the Universe, upon reaching the age of sixteen, grant me the merit to fulfill the teaching of Rebbe Nachman in Torah 38: "A cedar fell in our place, and sixteen wagons passed over its point." Rebbe Nachman explains that a person must be proficient in the entire Talmud and proficient in the entire Torah. "Its point" means to sharpen one's intellect. "Cedar" refers to the True Tzaddik, as it is written, "The tzaddik shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall grow tall like a cedar in Lebanon." "Sixteen" hints at the two Tablets of the Covenant: "six" refers to the Tablets, whose length was six handbreadths and width was six handbreadths, and the two Tablets together also had a thickness of six handbreadths. The additional "ten" refers to the Ten Commandments: "I am Hashem your God," "You shall have no other gods before Me," "You shall not take the name of Hashem your God in vain," "Remember the Shabbat day to keep it holy," and "Honor your father and your mother." May I merit to honor my father and mother with mesirut nefesh (self-sacrifice), as it is written in Tanna D'Vei Eliyahu (26:24) that as long as a person honors his father and mother, no sin of desecrating the Shabbat, nor any other sin, comes through his hands; and if he did sin, he is forgiven. As it is stated, "Fortunate is the mortal who does this, and the son of man who holds fast to it; who keeps the Shabbat from desecrating it." Just as through keeping Shabbat all sins are forgiven, so too through honoring one's father and mother all sins are forgiven.
2 Master of the Universe, full of abundant mercy without end and beyond comprehension, whose mercies never cease. You, in Your abundant mercy and immense kindness, are Almighty and can sway the thoughts of all mortals to Your good will in the blink of an eye. Please, Hashem, do it for the sake of Your Name and for the sake of Your abundant mercy—not for my sake, but solely for Yours. Bring my wife back in complete, true teshuvah (repentance), that she may keep Shabbat and be meticulous in all the mitzvot, both light and severe. Shine Your light upon her and bestow upon her Your infinite goodness. Create her anew and renew her soul for the good, so that she too will desire and yearn for Your true goodness and Your wondrous abundance that never ceases. May she recognize the greatness of Your mitzvot, and may You shine upon her with the light of Your kindness, so that she will yearn for the light of Your Countenance and to fulfill Your mitzvot in perfection, with the utmost beautification. Also, bless all the work of my hands, and in whatever I begin to do, let me succeed, for I cast my entire burden upon You. You will sustain me spiritually and materially, and You will always give me the right counsel in whatever I do. Provide my parnassah (livelihood) with great and immense profit, through easy means, without any hassle or confusion at all. Shower upon me infinite abundance from Your immense bounty that descends every second and moment. "Restore to me the joy of Your salvation, and let a willing spirit uphold me." May my soul, my wife's soul, and the souls of all my household be bound up in the True Tzaddik, who is the source of all abundance, as it is written, "A wise man scaled the city of the mighty, and brought down the stronghold in which it trusted." So too, shower upon me Your infinite, good abundance, in Your abundant mercy and wondrous kindness, without end and without number.
3 2 Please, [Gematria: Father 3, Good 17, Holy 415 God 47 who 14 created 203 every 50 soul 431 = 1170], may Rachel bat Simcha be in joy, and may she no longer have any suffering, in the merit of Simcha Eliyahu bat Georgia. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, [Gematria: that Torah 611 they shall seek 418 from his mouth 144 = 1170], may I merit that all the streets be closed on Shabbat. May I merit that all of the Jewish people return in teshuvah soon, and that all five million return in teshuvah. And [Gematria: place 450 within us 58 a good 17 inclination 300, Please Hashem is One = 1, grant me the merit of Chatzos (the midnight prayer) and to learn Gemara = 244 = 1170] every single day, as an unbreakable statute.
2 Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to learn Torah day and night, and that no one will ever desecrate the holy Shabbat again. May all the "democracy" and the entire rule of the Erev Rav (mixed multitude) fall in the [Gematria: blink 305 of an eye 130 = 435], in the merit of the [Gematria: Tzaddik 209 Yesod 80 Olam (Foundation of the World) 146 = 435]. May I merit to increase in spreading Torah (hafatzot) and setting up standing bank orders for charity day and night, in the merit of [Gematria: Rebbe 258 Nachman 148 ben 52 Simcha 353] ben Feiga, and in the merit of [Gematria: David 14 = 825] the King, peace be upon him. May our Rebbe reign over the world, and may all sovereignty be in his hands, and only he will reign and crown Hashem over the entire world: "Hashem reigns, Hashem reigned, Hashem will reign forever and ever. Hear O Israel, Hashem is our God, Hashem is One." May I merit to be a tzaddik like Rabbi Eliezer Berland. Please, Hashem is One = 1, [Gematria: Satisfy us 428 in the morning 304 with Your kindness 92 = 825], and we will sing and rejoice in all our days.
2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, the first Commandment is: "I am Hashem your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me" (Exodus 20:2). Master of the Universe, the Almighty, all the Commandments were given solely for the sake of keeping Shabbat, and all our actions are solely for the sake of keeping Shabbat. This is what the nations of the world ask us: "How do you, the people of Israel, merit to be a holy nation, to guard the holy covenant, and to be the chosen people?" Because leaving the bondage of Egypt means nothing other than leaving behind the blemishes of the covenant, and to never blemish again, through faith in "I am Hashem your God." For we believe that He "fills all worlds and encompasses all worlds," and there is no place devoid of Him. Therefore, it is impossible to blemish, because we know that Hashem is watching us every single second, and out of shame, we are incapable of doing anything that is against His blessed will.

"And the man Moshe was exceedingly humble, more than any person on the face of the earth." [Gematria: *For 30 He has wrought 375 for you 50 vengeance 596 from your enemies 89 = 1166. And two 366 tablets 450 of stone 103 he brought down 225 in his hand 22 = 1166. *Creator 209 of healings 693, awesome 257 in praises 841 = 2000. *And the man 322 Moshe 345 was humble 136 more than 90 any person 50 who 501 was upon 100 the face 170 of the earth 55 + 1 = 1166. *Grant me the merit 87, set me 410 as a seal 474 upon 100 your heart 52, as a seal 474 upon 100 your arm 303 = 2000.]

For [Gematria: "And the Eternal 154 of Israel 541 will not 31 lie 610 nor 37 relent" 108 = 1481], "for He is not a man that He should relent." In this merit, [Gematria: "Our Father 69, our King 67, raise up 245 the horn 350 of Israel 541 Your people" 130 = 1481]. Through this, may my husband ascend to the "Nukva d'Pardashka" (a Kabbalistic term for the Divine nostril/breath of life) to the right nostril, from where Yocheved and Miriam drew down the breath of life of the Resurrection of the Dead for all the infants of Israel. May I too merit to have a share in my husband's emissary work, in the mission of the Rav, in the merit that I send him to fundraise among the Jewish people with a whole heart. And to spread the prayers of the Rav, the chiddushim (Torah novelties) of the Rav, and the teachings of the Rav, which are all solely for the sake of the revelation of Mashiach ben David. May all of the Jewish people merit to keep Shabbat, and may all of the Jewish people merit to fulfill all 613 mitzvot in the [Gematria: blink 305 of an eye 130 = 435]. In this merit, Hashem is One [1], may there be the revelation of [Gematria: Mashiach 358 ben 52 David 24 = 435]. In this merit, may I and all the women of Shuvu Banim merit to be partners with the Rav in bringing all of the Jewish people back in teshuvah, and to the observance of Shabbat and the fulfillment of all the mitzvot, upon which depends the entire Geulah, the entire salvation of Israel, and all healings and salvations from now until eternity.
2 ? Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit to defeat all my enemies and foes, as David King of Israel said, [Gematria: "You 406 come 3 to me with a sword 212 and with a spear 470 = + 1 1092] and with a javelin." May we merit a [Gematria: mind 48] of holiness, and may You open for me all the [Gematria: gates 580 of holiness 420 = 1048]. Please, [Gematria: our God 102 and the God 52 of our fathers 475, "Reign 96 over 100 the entire world 151 in its entirety 62 in Your glory 54 = 1092"]. May the verse be fulfilled in us: [Gematria: "My Sabbaths you shall keep, and 21 My sanctuary 454 you shall revere 617 = 1092"]. For we rely and trust [Gematria: only 300 in 31 our Father 69 in Heaven 692 = 1092]. Please, "He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty." "You are on high forever, Hashem." [Gematria: "The Most High 166 You have made 740 Your dwelling 186 = 1092"]. In the merit of Avraham Avinu, peace be upon him, and in the merit [446] of [Gematria: Sarah 505 Imeinu 97 = 1048]. Through this, may the verse be fulfilled in us, Hashem is One [1]: [Gematria: "They 50 knelt 296 and fell 172, but we 121 rose 196 and were encouraged 540 = 1376"]. Through this, may we merit to be at peace with everyone, as it is said, [Gematria: "And the wolf 10 shall dwell with 110 the lamb 322, and the leopard 296 with 110 the kid 17 shall lie down 302 = 1376"].
2 Master of the Universe, the Almighty, grant me the merit to sanctify the Shabbat for all 26 hours, from its arrival until its departure, and not to forget a single halacha of the laws of Shabbat. May I merit, Hashem is One, that the dream of my life be fulfilled: to keep Shabbat according to its laws, without deviating by a hairsbreadth. May we merit the secret of the oven (kartalita) of the wife of Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa, and may we also merit to be like the daughter of Rabbi Chanina ben Dosa, who poured vinegar and it burned like oil, as it is said, 'He who told the oil to burn will tell the vinegar to burn.'
2 ? Master of the Universe, the Almighty, please have mercy and please save our brothers, the children of Israel, the "men of valor," who sacrifice their lives for the defense of the Jewish people every single second. They cast their lives on the line and fight to their last drop of blood, with all their heart and soul—with all their Nefesh, Ruach, Neshamah, Chayah, and Yechidah (the five levels of the soul), with all their 248 limbs and 365 sinews, for the sake of saving the Jewish people. Therefore, save them from every trouble and distress, from every plague and illness. Send blessing and success in all the work of their hands, and atone for their iniquities and sins. In the merit of their mesirut nefesh (self-sacrifice) every single second, save them from every ambusher, adversary, and accuser, and nullify all accusations against them. In the merit of their mesirut nefesh, may they merit complete teshuvah out of true love. May they merit to keep Shabbat, to put on tzitzit and tefillin, and to fulfill all 613 mitzvot with true love. May they see Hashem face to face every single second, and recognize Hashem, who saves them every single second from every trouble and distress, from every plague and illness, from every adversary and saboteur, and from every accuser. Hashem, blessed be He, in His love for the Jewish people, forgives and pardons, until each and every one returns to Him in complete, true teshuvah, and merits to build a faithful home in Israel for all generations.
