THE MOLAD OF NISSAN

The molad is on Tuesday night at 1:03, 12 chalakim; meaning, this night—Wednesday night, the 29th of Adar—the molad of the month of Nissan will occur at 1:03 and 12 chalakim. Before you is a prayer that The Rav shlit"a wrote for the molad of the month of Nissan 5783:

Rosh Chodesh is on Thursday; Ya’aleh VeYavo begins on Thursday night (Wednesday night).

Master of the Universe, Almighty—before Whom no plan is impossible—grant me, at the molad of Nissan, 1:03, 12 chalakim, on Wednesday night, that all the gates of Heaven be opened, and all the 32 Paths of Wisdom, and all the gates of miracles that took place in the month of Nissan: the Exodus from Egypt; the Splitting of the Sea; and the hanging of Haman, who issued his decree on the 13th of Nissan to kill, to destroy, and to annihilate—yet already on the 16th of Nissan he was hanged. As a result, the decree he plotted was already nullified, as it says, “And many of the peoples of the land became Jews.” And all of this happened in the month of Nissan. And especially the Splitting of the Sea, which was divided and cleaved and split into 12 parts—into 12 paths. Each and every tribe crossed through the sea and saw all the other eleven tribes with tremendous clarity, because the walls of water were completely transparent. Every tribe saw everything that was happening among the other tribes—among the other eleven tribes. And the walls of water were filled with apricots, pomegranates, oranges, dates, and clusters of grapes, figs, and pomegranates—like what the 12 spies brought when they toured the Land of Israel, the Land of Canaan, the Holy Land—from Rechov to the entrance of Chamas (an acronym for Rachel), because the Land of Israel corresponds to the aspect of Rachel. To recite the Hallel (an acronym for Leah): for then there is a revelation on Rosh Chodesh—this year falling on Thursday, just as in the year when they left Egypt, which also fell on Thursday. For Rosh Chodesh Nissan is a completely new birth, as it is written: “This month shall be for you the head of months; it is the first for you of the months of the year.” And then it is possible to bring about the remembrance of barren women, and all the healings in the world—to heal paralysis and cancers, and even to revive the dead, like Elisha the Prophet, who merited a double portion and revived the son of the Shunammite woman—who was Chabakuk—and he embraced him seven times. For a person, on Rosh Chodesh Nissan, can draw down the soul of King Moshiach. Then the dove of Noach will come—about which it is said, “and it did not return to him again.” And at present it is found in the chamber called Kan Tzippor. And when King Moshiach is revealed—which will be on Rosh Chodesh Nissan—it will go out from the chamber of Kan Tzippor with a crown of gold in its mouth, as it is written: “You precede him with blessings of goodness; You place upon his head a crown of pure gold.” And on Rosh Chodesh Nissan it will place the golden crown upon the head of Moshiach, and crown him over the entire world.
