Prayer for the Month of Nissan by the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a - "And from that moment of the Molad, may we merit to subdue the 11 chieftains of Esau"

Master of the World! At the Molad (birth of the new moon) of the month of Nissan, the month of miracles and wonders, in which we went out of Egypt and in which we are going out of all exiles, and in which we subdued the 11 chieftains of Esau, "and from the sound of the Hallel, the roof split" (Pesachim 85b). In this holy and awesome month that begins from the Molad which will be on (Tuesday 11:27), and from that moment of the Molad, may we merit to subdue the 11 chieftains of Esau = 11, and to say (Joshua 10:12): Sun (Shemesh) = 640, in Gibeon (b'Givon) = 133, stand still (dom) = 50, and Moon (v'yareach) = 224, in the Valley (b'emek) = 212, of Ajalon (Ayalon) = 97, and [the sun] stood still (vayidom) = 66, the sun (hashemesh) = 645, and the moon (v'yareach) = 224, stood (amad) = 114, until (ad) = 74, avenged (yikom) = 156, [the] nation (goy) = 19, its enemies (oyvav) = 36 (Total 2700).

And in the merit of this holy and awesome Molad, fulfill in me the verse (Genesis 6:3), "For he is also flesh" (Beshegam hu basar), through which the sun and moon are united, specifically at the moment of the Molad. The moon then receives the light of the sun, which is 7x7x7 in perfection, and then its light is like the light of the sun, as it is said (Zechariah 4:2), "And a bowl on its top and its seven lamps upon it, seven and seven pipes to the lamps that are on its top," which are 7x7x7, the secret of "For he is also flesh" (Beshegam hu basar). For where is Moses mentioned in the Torah? Behold, Moses is written 647 times in the Holy Torah, so what is the question "Where is Moses mentioned in the Torah?" Rather, Moses merited to shine sevenfold times seven, which is the root of his holy and awesome soul.

For the root of Moses' soul, which is 7x7x7, is embedded in the root of Abraham's soul, to whom it was said (Genesis 12:1), "And Hashem said to Abram, Go for yourself (Lech Lecha)" = 343 = 7x7x7 (Maggid Meisharim). For when he ascended to Heaven, Hashem formed the countenance of his face [Moses] like the countenance of Abraham's face. For Moses our Teacher, who brought us out of Egypt in the month of Nissan—which is the month (Chodesh) of miracles and wonders—renews (mechadesh) the world of the Holy One, Blessed is He, with completely new miracles and wonders that never existed, through the power of the seven times seven, 7x7x7. This is the secret of the Geulah (Redemption) after "seventy weeks," for in this month all sins are atoned for anyone who does true teshuvah (repentance) out of love.

And this month is the month of the Geulah (Redemption) for each and every individual in general and in particular. Therefore, may we merit immediately with the beginning of the month at the Molad to do true teshuvah (repentance) out of love, to renew our Nefesh, Ruach, Neshama, Chaya, and Yechida [levels of the soul]. And may we merit in this month, like Moses our Teacher, to the level of Yechida, as it is said (Judges 11:34), "And only she was an only child (yechida)." For Jephthah's daughter merited that a Heavenly Voice went forth to bring her down from the altar (Abudraham). And in this month, in which there are encompassing salvations, may we merit the building of our Holy Temple, the complete Geulah (Redemption), and Mashiach ben David. For (Ki) = 30, I intended (kivanti) = 486, to unite (l'yachada) = 53, the name (shma) = 341, of the Holy One (d'Kudsha) = 415, Blessed (Brich) = 232, is He (Hu) = 12, and His Shechinah (u'Shechintei) = 801, in fear (b'dchilu) = 60, and love (u'rechimu) = 270 (Total 2700).
