Prayer for the New Month of Sivan by Rav Berland
Monday Early Morning 3:33 Part 1
Master of the Universe, Almighty, from Whom no scheme is hidden, grant me merit at 3:33 in the early morning, + 1 part, corresponding to the 10 Sefirot that are rectified in the month of Sivan through the Ten Commandments, which is the mystery of the third month, on the third day, through Moshe Rabbeinu, who was the third-born. For the Giving of the Torah was, “And it came to pass on the third day when it was morning, that Hashem gave forth thunder and lightning and the whole mountain smoked,” for ‘You were revealed in the cloud of Your glory to speak with them, from the heavens You let Your voice be heard and were revealed to them in pure darkness; the entire world trembled before You and the creations of the beginning shuddered before You, when You, our King, were revealed on Mount Sinai to teach Your people Torah and mitzvot, from the heavens You let Your voice be heard and were revealed to them in pure darkness.’ ‘For the sake of the Eitan (Abraham) who was cast into the flame of fire, for the sake of the Son (Isaac) who was bound upon the wood and fire, for the sake of the Hero (Jacob) who wrestled with the angel of fire, for the sake of the banners You led with light and a cloud of fire.’ Please Hashem, do so for the sake of the ‘Nation preserved like the pupil of an eye, contemplating the religion that restores the soul, observing the “Remember” and “Keep” of the Sabbath, hurrying to hasten the arrival of the Sabbath, sitting and waiting until the end of the Sabbath, calling the Sabbath a delight and honor.’ ‘G-d of salvations, in four weeks, approaching with supplications, knocking at the gate of pleas.’ ‘I am a wall, pure as the sun, exiled and turned away, likened to Tamar, slain for Your sake, and considered as sheep for the slaughter, scattered among those who provoke Her, yet embraced and attached to You.’ And therefore, “On the third day when it was morning, there was thunder and lightning and a heavy cloud upon the mountain.” Please Hashem, ‘for the sake of him who stood in the threshing floor and was appeased by fire, for the sake of him who prayed in the courtyard and the fire descended, for the sake of the messenger who ascended and was exalted in a chariot and horses of fire, for the sake of the holy ones cast into the fire, for the sake of the myriad myriads of the vision and rivers of fire, for the sake of the desolations of Your city burned by fire, for the sake of the generations of the leaders of Judah that You will make like a basin of fire.’ ‘Hashem our Master, how majestic is Your name in all the earth.’ And may we merit in the month of Sivan to receive the Torah anew. And may there be in this month, the month of Sivan, an abundance of grooms and brides, and may all those who have been delayed in their shidduch (marriage match) until now have the gates of shidduchim opened for them, and may they become engaged in this month, and on the 15th of Av may they merit their wedding day and the day of the gladness of their hearts, as it is said, “Go forth and see, O daughters of Zion, King Solomon, with the crown with which his mother crowned him on the day of his wedding and on the day of the gladness of his heart.”
