Prayer for Torah Study by the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Prayer for Torah Study by the Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a
With Hashem's help

Master of the Universe, grant me the merit to study Torah day and night without interruption, and let all my pleasure, longing, and yearning be solely for the words of Torah. Let me know faithfully that from each and every letter of the holy Torah, tens, hundreds, and thousands of angels are created. May I merit to study Torah with kedushah (holiness) and purity, with a joyful heart and pure, clear, and clean thoughts. Through this, may I burn towards You with a flaming fire during the study of Torah, and desire nothing of the matters of the world, only to desire You, as it is written, "As the deer pants for streams of water, so my soul pants for You, O God. And for me, closeness to God is good, I have placed my refuge in Hashem, God, to recount all Your works. Whom have I in heaven but You? And with You, I desire nothing on earth. My flesh and my heart yearn, the Rock of my heart and my portion is God forever." May I merit to fulfill the verse "For one day in Your courts is better than a thousand elsewhere," and Rashi says, "One day in Your courts, and tomorrow he will die, is better than living a thousand years elsewhere." And so may all the words of the holy Torah be precious to me in truth and sincerity, and may I study Torah day and night without a moment's pause from now and forever, Amen, forever and ever.

Master of the Universe, full of mercy, all-capable, from whom no plan is withheld, Master of the Universe, open my intellect and mind so that they may be open to the study of Your Torah. May I merit a tremendous desire to study Torah without interruption day and night, and nothing in the world will be able to stop me from Torah study. May I feel the joy of Torah and the love of Torah in all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews, and may all my limbs rejoice and delight in Torah study. May the holy intellect of Torah study spread through all my 248 limbs and 365 sinews. In the merit of our holy Rebbe, may the desire for Torah study grow stronger and stronger within me, and may the verse "Only in your ancestors did Hashem delight" be fulfilled in me. May I feel Your love for me hidden in Torah study, and may I feel the sweetness that exists in Torah study, which is the greatest sweetness in the world. May the verse "More desirable than gold, than much fine gold, sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb" be fulfilled in me. May I see miracles and wonders in the merit of Torah study until I reach the level of divine inspiration in the merit of Torah study, and may I also merit to revive the dead in the merit of the holy Torah study.
