Prayers for the Safekeeping and Protection of Children and Our Daughters, the Virtue of Song and Dance, Enthusiastic Prayer, and Connection to the Tzaddik – All the Prayers of Rabbi Berland shlit"a from the Past Week

Wonderful and essential prayers from our teacher, the holy Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) from the past week - Parshat Vayishlach 5780

A prayer for the safekeeping and protection of children – to merit double and redoubled safekeeping and protection for our tender children, that they may be saved from all terrible afflictions and bad companions.

A prayer for the safekeeping and protection of our daughters – to merit that our daughters should not go out into the streets and should be like the daughters of Asher, who did not go outside and merited to marry kings and High Priests.

A prayer for victory through song and dancing – to merit winning the entire war through song and dancing, to awaken the People of Israel to teshuvah (repentance), and not to give up on the "small jars" (a reference to Jacob's spiritual meticulousness).

A prayer to pray with enthusiasm, with melodies and dancing – to merit being a flaming fire for You day and night, to know that all the nations are likened to straw and have no true reality or existence, and to be saved from the klipah (impure shell) of the "dog."

A prayer to be included within the Tzaddik who is entirely hidden within the Hidden Unity – to merit safekeeping and protection from the Ayin Hara (evil eye) in the merit of the "Fear of Isaac," to merit a "Good Eye" like Jacob, and that all the judgments in the world be nullified from upon us.

A prayer to crown Hashem over me in perfection – to subdue all eight kings of Esau, and to merit the "glory of G-d is to conceal a matter" (Proverbs 25:2) and not the "glory of kings is to search out a matter."

A prayer to be a Merkavah (chariot) for the holy Shechinah (Divine Presence) – to merit that all the angels of the Chariot shall never depart from me even for a single second, and that I shall not stumble into forbidden sights or evil and foreign thoughts.

A prayer for being content with little and ruling over Jerusalem – to merit being among the Tzaddikim who are content with little, and through this power, we shall merit full control over Jerusalem.

A prayer for waiting and patience, the strength to hold onto life – to merit knowing that the entire strength to hold onto life is through waiting, "poco a poco" (step by step), and this is the way to reach holiness.
