Prayers of the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, for an Apartment in Jerusalem
With the help of Hashem, May He be Blessed, for a Good Year, for the Sake of Heaven, Year 5776, on Rosh Hashanah
First Prayer for an Apartment in Jerusalem
Master of the World, Omnipotent One, from Whom no plan is withheld. You can bring it about in the blink of an eye that I possess all the funds required for the new apartment. For the truth of my heart is revealed and known before You: that I am not purchasing this apartment for my own honor, nor for the honor of my father's house. Rather, it is only for the sake of Your Great and Awesome Name that is called upon us—so that we may have a place to serve You with Torah, prayer, songs, and dances, amidst true and eternal love.
May we merit to know You in truth, amidst harchavas hada'as (peace of mind), and may we always merit to see the magnitude of Your infinite kindnesses, for You are G-d, a true and merciful King, and You desire only to truly do good for us.
Therefore, Master of Mercy, prepare for me everything required for the new apartment for Your sake and for the sake of my children, so that we may serve You in the new apartment day and night without pause, amidst mochin d'gadlus (expanded consciousness) with joy and love. And through this, all the dinin (judgments) will be sweetened from upon me and from upon all the members of my household, and we shall merit a complete Geulah (Redemption) speedily in our days, Amen.
Second Prayer for an Apartment in Jerusalem
Master of the World, grant us the merit to live as close as possible to the Even HaShetiyah (Foundation Stone), the Holy of Holies. And every single day, may we merit to visit the Holy Kotel (Western Wall) and to see the site of the Holy of Holies. May we merit that our prayers always pass through the Holy of Holies. The closer we are to the Holy of Holies, the more we will merit to feel Your holiness and Your Godliness upon us, and to know that there is nothing else besides You—You are One and Only, the Unique One, and there is none other than You.
And we shall know faithfully that You are Hashem, the G-d. And we shall merit the aspect of "Jerusalem built up like a city that is united together"—to be united with the entire Nation of Israel with a whole heart. And we shall merit the "Green Line" (Kav Yarok) that generates new Torah insights, which is the Tzaddik, by living as close as possible to the Wall. Through this, we shall merit the ten measures [of beauty] that Jerusalem took.
For Bayit (house) is 412 + 10 = 422, which is the secret of Kav Yarok (Green Line) = 422, which surrounds the entire world. And by living as close as possible to the Wall, we shall merit that our souls will be transformed into a "Green Line" that surrounds the entire world.
