Prayers for Shabbat and Hitbodedut by Rabbi Eliezer Berland Shlit"a

Prayers for Shabbat and Hitbodedut by Moreinu HaRav Eliezer Berland Shlit"a
From Leket Tefilot #23 - "Hitbodedut"
Please Hashem, let us merit during the six weekdays to multiply prayers and hitbodedut as You commanded in the holy Torah, “Six days you shall work,” and there is no work other than prayer. Please Hashem, let us merit to reach Shabbat Kodesh in joy and holiness, after all weeklong having done hitbodedut and having prayed all three prayers with the ultimate kavanah (focused intent), awe, and devekut (cleaving to the Creator). Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, let me merit to fulfill the Fourth Commandment that speaks about keeping Shabbat – “Remember the Shabbat day to make it holy” (Shemot 20:7) – for this is the most important Commandment that includes everything and upon which everything depends. For all 613 mitzvot are dependent on keeping Shabbat, and it is the root of all 613 mitzvot, and in every single tag (crownlet) that we fulfill through keeping Shabbat, the entire Torah is included, as well as all faith. And everyone who guards the Shabbat from desecration, even if he worshipped idolatry like the generation of Enosh, everything is atoned for him and forgiven for him. On the other hand, one who desecrates Shabbat in public is removed from the community of Israel, and his wine is libation wine [of idolators], and he is unfitting to give testimony at all. For Shabbat is the root of the entire creation, and through it, all the works of the heaven and earth are renewed mamash, for about Shabbat Kodesh, it is said: “My heart is steadfast, O God, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and will make music. Awake, my soul, awake. O harp and lyre, I shall awaken the dawn. I will thank You among the peoples, O Lord; I will sing to You among the regimes.” For the entire matter of Shabbat is only to sing the entire Shabbat, from evening until morning, and from morning until evening, and only to be engaged in singing the entire Shabbat – with songs and praises, with gratitude and praise to HaKadosh Baruch Hu.

Ribbono Shel Olam – Master of the World, Who can do everything, from Whom no plan is withheld, let me merit to always be tremendously happy without even a moment’s interruption, and that I will not allow sadness to enter me for even a single second. As the “Yehudi HaKadosh” (the Holy Jew) said, that if a person would not allow a single drop of sadness to enter him, then nothing [bad] could happen to him, and no one could harm him at all, and then all the abundance in the world would be bestowed upon him. Please, Merciful and Gracious One, let me merit to fulfill what is written in Lesson 81 of Volume 2 [Likutey Moharan], that I should merit to multiply my dancing, and through this, to merit to “the property at their feet” – this is a person’s money, which stands him on his feet – and through this, may I merit to an abundance of wealth without end or limit, so that I can marry off all my sons and daughters with expansive consciousness, to give abundant Tzedaka, and to enable all my sons and sons-in-law to continue learning Torah day and night, and that all of them will do at least an hour of hitbodedut every day and rise at chatzot every day. May I merit to support them honorably all the days of their lives and may they lack nothing, and may they also merit to support others generously and honorably.
