Prophecy from the Age of Three • The Daily Lesson from the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Here is the complete daily lesson as delivered by The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, last night—Wednesday night, the eve of the 30th of Av, the first day of Rosh Chodesh Elul, Parshas Shoftim—after the Ma’ariv prayer:

“It is written in Yoel, chapter 3, verses 1, 2, 3: ‘And your sons and your daughters will prophesy; your elders will dream dreams; your young men will see visions. And also upon the servants and upon the maidservants in those days I will pour out My spirit’—meaning that everyone will be prophets: sons and daughters. Every girl, from the age of three, will already be a prophetess. She will see from one end of the world to the other, and she will know what will be until the end of all generations. Like Serach bas Asher, who was a prophetess from the age of three—she was a prophetess because all day long she did nothing but dance and sing; therefore she merited to be a prophetess from the age of three.”

To watch the replay of last night’s Ma’ariv prayer with singing and niggunim—the lesson begins at 25:36
