Public Call: Kimcha D'Pischa (Passover Charity) for Needy Families by the Shuvu Banim Holy Community

Entire families from Anshei Shlomeinu (our community of faithful) are facing the troubling question: "From where will they get the large sums needed for the many expenses of the Passover holiday, and who knows what their Seder night will look like?"

'Ichud Chassidei Breslov' (The Union of Breslov Chassidim) sees the great need and takes upon itself the immense responsibility to provide the necessary help to every family from Anshei Shlomeinu (our community) that requires it.

Currently, just a few days before the holiness of the Passover holiday begins, great efforts are being made to provide a dignified food basket for all needy families. However, the expenses are many, and we are still far from reaching the required amount. Therefore, we appeal to each and every one of you to join by making a direct donation to this holy and important project of Kimcha D'Pischa (Passover charity).

In this way, the families will emerge with a sense of dignity and calm, knowing that this Passover, too, will pass for them in joy, with Hashem's help.

After successfully distributing Kimcha D'Pischa and caring for fifteen hundred families last year, we want to reach at least this goal again this year with your help.

The holy words of our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), are well known. He calls upon each and every person to be the Nachshon ben Aminadav of today—the Nachshon who jumps into the water and gives generously to the people of Israel as is proper, so that they too can enter the holiday with calm and joy just like you.

The words of our teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Berland shlit"a, to the donors of Kimcha D'Pischa:

"A person needs to jump into the water."

"When a person gives tzedakah (charity)—and especially for such an important mitzvah (commandment) like Kimcha D'Pischa for the Tzaddik's needy families—this is called 'jumping into the water.'"

"It is written, 'it is his life' (referring to his wages)."

"'On his day you shall give him his wage... for it is his life.'"

"Money is 'damim' (blood/money); it is the heart of a person."

"A person works eight hours a day or sixteen a day; he works for thirty days."

"He practices mesirus nefesh (self-sacrifice) for his work, even if it is winter."

"All day he is busy accumulating wealth, and suddenly he is told—jump into the water, give everything to tzedakah (charity), do not leave a single penny for yourself—you will see that you will have such miracles that haven't occurred since the creation of the world."

"Any person who gives to tzedakah (charity) will have his fate overturned on the spot, and he will become the wealthiest millionaire in the world, even more than Rothschild."

This year, with your great help, the desire is to distribute to more families and provide more products to fulfill all the holiday needs.
