Q&A with the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a on the Path of Learning and the Graves of Yishai and Ruth — Coverage of “Hitchadshus,” Sivan 5782

Blessed is Hashem—we have merited it: the magnificent issue of “Hitchadshus” for the Festival of Shavuos—Matan Torah—has come off the printing press, filled and overflowing with pure Breslov content, in the path of The Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

Before you is a report from this fascinating issue—and what’s in this month’s main magazine:

“Breslov—First and foremost, it is Torah study” / Meir Ya’avetz:

A fascinating and unique project on the revolution in the theme of Torah learning within Breslov Chassidus—brought about by The Rav shlit"a. At its center is a holy conversation, rich with revelations, with The Rav shlit"a: about his Torah learning in his youth with the great sages of the generation; questions that arise at the learning table; and guidance in the ways of learning and deep study for each and every person who longs to taste the precious flavor of Torah—more precious than pearls.

“On Shabbos the Torah was given” / Nachman Gilad:

A holy Shabbos in the presence of The Rav shlit"a is, quite literally, a taste of the World to Come. In a conversation for “Hitchadshus,” the grandsons describe what an all-holy Shabbos looks like in the presence of The Rav shlit"a—several handbreadths above the ground.

“Your Torah is my delight” / Nachman Gilad:

Two veteran attendants in sacred service—R’ Michoel Gol shlit"a and R’ Yosef Asulin shlit"a—share an illuminating conversation about The Rav shlit"a’s Torah learning twenty-four hours a day: profound in-depth study together with the most astonishing breadth of knowledge.

“Moshe received the Torah” / Meir Ya’avetz:

Rabbi Moshe Shaul, one of The Rav shlit"a’s longtime students, who spent decades searching for truth, saw Hashem on the battlefields time and again—and suddenly discovered that he was standing at a crossroads. He had to decide where he was going, here and now, and he chose to accept the Torah with love.

Set up markers for yourself — “The Graves of Yishai and Ruth” / Natan Or Ashad:

On Shavuos, when we read Megillas Ruth, which concludes with the words, “And Yishai fathered David,” this is a comprehensive article—based on testimonies spanning hundreds of years—about the graves of Yishai, father of David, and Ruth the Moabite, “the mother of royalty.” It also brings accounts of pilgrims over the generations regarding the burial site attributed to the city of Chevron.

All this, and more—alongside the “HaMechadesh” supplement: a report on what has been taking place around Rabbi Berland shlit"a throughout the days of Sefirah, beginning with Pesach, continuing through Lag BaOmer, including coverage of all the shiurim delivered in Rabbi Berland shlit"a’s home to various groups across the country, and the holy places where The Rav shlit"a poured out abundant prayer during the month of Sefirah.

And this month, within each report of a shiur, there is a drop from the sea of Rabbi Berland shlit"a’s holy words, as delivered in his many lessons.
