Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l Revealed Before His Passing
The Holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a and Rabbi Dov Kook shlit"a Are Delaying the Coming of Moshiach So That More Jews Will Merit to Return in Teshuvah

I heard the following story regarding the Rishon LeZion, Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu zt"l, before his passing, from very reliable sources. His wife, the Rabbanit Tzvia Hana Eliyahu tbdl"a, asked him while he was on his deathbed: "After all, the Baba Sali promised you that you would merit to see Mashiach, and here we see that you are growing weaker; what will become of the Baba Sali's promise?"
The Rav zt"l answered her: "Know that the end was supposed to come and the time of the Geulah (Redemption) had indeed arrived, but what can I do when two tzaddikim are delaying it from coming? They want more and more Jews to merit to return in teshuvah (repentance), because after the arrival of Mashiach, they will no longer be able to return in teshuvah ('Proselytes are not accepted in the days of Mashiach,' Yevamot 24b; Avodah Zarah 3b). Everyone will remain in their status, and according to this, their fate will be determined."
The Rabbanit continued and asked him: "Who are the two rabbis?"
The holy and kabbalist Rav zt"l answered her: "Rabbi Dov Kook shlit"a from Tiberias and the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a."

From this, the wise will understand and learn the main reason why the Gaon HaTzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a accepts upon himself so many sufferings and humiliations. And instead of being ungrateful and harboring doubts about the tzaddik shlit"a, one should gird his loins and pray for the success of Rabbi Eliezer Berland ben Atia - which is our success.
