Rav Moshe Binenstock shlit"a - "All Those Who Transmit the Tradition Must Kiss the Feet of Rav Berland"

The esteemed chassid Rav Moshe Binenstock shlit"a, the legendary cantor, one of the famous influencers in Breslov and a transmitter of the tradition from person to person until Mohara"n of Breslov. In the past, it was widely publicized that Rav Binenstock received the oral tradition of Breslov Chassidut from the greatest Breslov chassid of the previous generation, Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender zt"l, as he testified about himself. "I merited to know Rabbi Levi Yitzchak Bender zt"l on the eve of Rosh Chodesh Nissan 5724, and from the year 5731, I was almost constantly with him for eighteen years, until his ascent to the heavenly realms on the 22nd of Tammuz 5749."

Rabbi Bender zt"l came to Eretz Yisrael after surviving the Holocaust and was a pillar in the restoration of Breslov Chassidut and the transfer of the center of gravity from the city of Uman before World War II and the communist takeover of Russia, to Jerusalem. Having grown spiritually under the wings of the great 'workers' of Breslov Chassidut in Uman, Rabbi Bender was like a vessel full and overflowing with all the Breslov tradition of previous generations, and there was no one comparable to him in this. According to his testimony, Rav Binenstock merited to receive most of this tradition from him.

Many know an important point, which many others chose to conceal, that Rav Binenstock received his Torah from another great rabbi - the esteemed gaon tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a. In the conversation we present to you, Rav Binenstock testifies: "My first rabbi was Rabbi Natan Leibmarnsh and my second rabbi is Rav Lazer Berland shlit"a (the esteemed gaon tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland)""

The above words of Rav Binenstock come after he tells ancient stories about R' Levi Yitzchak Bender zt"l and the elders of Breslov of the previous generation, and at the end, he adds and says: "All the great transmitters of the tradition of our generation, who hold themselves in high regard because they know all the tapes, must kiss the feet of R' Lazer Berland when he comes out of prison... thanks to him, we have all the tapes of R' Levi Yitzchak Bender..."
