Rav Shalom Arush in an Interview with Radio Kol Berama - "Rav Berland is an Angel of God, He Atones for the Generation"

"A terrible journey and persecution that the esteemed tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a is undergoing," thus began their words to Admakar and Schwamenfeld in an interview conducted with Rav Shalom Arush shlit"a on Kol Berama.
It was not for nothing that Admakar and Schwamenfeld turned to Rav Arush shlit"a, as he is well-known for being his first attendant, as he testifies about himself in the interview: "I merited to be the first attendant and driver of the Rav, and what I saw with my own eyes over the forty-one years that I have been by his side is that Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a is an angel! What kind of angel?" Rav Arush pauses to correct himself, "Rav Berland shlit"a is beyond an angel. A person who can stand for sixteen hours straight in the Amidah prayer, without moving from his place."
"Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a knows what you are thinking, he knows the thoughts of people, every question I had he would turn and answer me. There are many things I am not allowed to tell, I promised the Rav not to tell anyone. I could talk to you for ten hours to tell what I saw with my own eyes. It is known that Rav Berland shlit"a paid people to speak against him, there are harsh decrees on the Jewish people and he suffers afflictions and humiliations for us, he atones for the Jewish people. The Rav suffers a very terrible exile, great hidden tzaddikim with whom I am connected say about him that he atones for the generation. And great and famous tzaddikim whom we all know say about him that he atones for the generation."
"Even the guards there in Johannesburg say he is an angel of God, he just stands and prays all day. The Rav hardly eats. To sleep, I know from the days I served him that he does not sleep, he is an angel of God. The government in the country believes rumors without checking. Maybe here they received a bribe." The Rav commanded to hold a prayer gathering at the Cave of the Patriarchs and since then the attacks stopped, the Rav has such power that with nothing he brings about salvations, who knows what accusation there is against the Jewish people. Certainly, I am disappointed with the politicians and public figures who do nothing, we protest the disgrace of the tzaddik and expect everyone who has the power to rise and strive for the Rav."
