Rav Shalom Arush in an Interview with Radio Kol Berama
"Rav Berland is an Angel of God, He Atones for the Generation"

"A terrible journey and persecution is being endured by the genius tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a," this is how Adamker and Shvomenfeld opened their remarks in an interview they conducted with Rabbi Shalom Arush shlit"a on Kol Berama.
It was not for nothing that Adamker and Shvomenfeld turned to Rabbi Arush shlit"a; it is known to all that he was his first attendant, as he testifies about himself in the interview: "I merited to be the first attendant and driver of the Rav, and what I saw with my own eyes throughout the forty-one years that I was by his side is that Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a is an angel! What kind of angel?" Rabbi Arush pauses to correct himself, "Rav Berland shlit"a is above an angel. A person who can stand for sixteen hours straight in the Amidah prayer, without moving from his place."
"Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a knows what you are thinking, he knows the thoughts of human beings; every question I had, he turns and answers me. There are many things I am forbidden to tell; I promised the Rav that I would not tell anyone. I could speak with you for ten hours to tell you what I saw with my own eyes. It is known that Rav Berland shlit"a paid money to people to speak against him; there are harsh decrees upon the people of Israel and he suffers afflictions and humiliations for us; he is atoning for the people of Israel. The Rav is suffering a terrible exile; the greatest hidden tzaddikim with whom I am connected say about him that he is atoning for the generation. And great and famous tzaddikim whom we all know say about him that he is atoning for the generation."
"Even the prison guards there in Johannesburg say that he is an angel of Hashem; he just stands and prays all day. The Rav barely eats. As for sleep, I know from the days I served him that he does not sleep; this is an angel of Hashem. The government in Israel believes rumors without checking. Perhaps here they received bribes." The Rav commanded to hold a prayer gathering at the Cave of the Patriarchs and since then the terror attacks stopped; the Rav has such power that with nothing he brings about salvations; who knows what accusations exist against the people of Israel. Certainly, I have disappointment with the politicians and public figures who do nothing; we protest the humiliation of the tzaddik and expect that everyone who has power should rise up and make an effort for the Rav."
