Receiving the Blessing of Yaakov – The Daily Chizuk from the Gaon and Tzaddik, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

Eliezer says to Rivka's (Rebecca's) family: I asked her who she was before I gave her jewelry.

Avraham commanded me to take only from his family, 'if you do not go to my father's house.' Immediately, Eliezer questioned Avraham, "Perhaps the woman will not follow"?

Avraham answers him, "My angel will go, "He will send His angel with you and make your way successful."

The Daily Chizuk (spiritual strengthening) from the Gaon and Tzaddik, our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days) – Sunday, 24th of Sivan 5784

Eliezer asked Avraham, how will I find her?

From here, the commentators learn that all [the other women] were already flawed, all were wicked, all were repulsive. So Avraham said to him, "He will send His angel with you and make your way successful."
Then he saw there a well 700 meters deep, for example, Be'er Yaakov (Jacob's Well) named after the well they dug there. They dug 700 meters and found a well, in Rishon [LeZion] they dug to a depth of 800 meters, the well that was in Rishon was at a depth of 800 meters. Because there was no water in the Land of Israel, it is a land where there is no water, so why did Esav (Esau) envy Yaakov (Jacob) for the blessing he received at all? Why are you jealous? You received Guatemala, the most beautiful land in the world, why are you jealous of Yaakov? "And Esav hated Yaakov because of the blessing" (Genesis 27:41) Rather, Yaakov receives, "And may G-d give you of the dew of the heavens and of the fatness of the earth" (Genesis 27:28). Esav receives the opposite, "of the fatness of the earth... and of the dew of the heavens" (ibid 27:39) - Esav's dew is a physical dew, it is the fatness of the earth, but Yaakov's dew is the dew of Techiyas HaMeisim (the Resurrection of the Dead). Esav said, I want the dew of Techiyas HaMeisim, my father Yitzchak (Isaac) tricked me. Therefore, "And Esav hated" - because Yaakov can revive the dead. It is written in the Midrash (homiletic teachings), after Yosef (Joseph) saw the dreams, "the sun and the moon and eleven stars were bowing down to me." The moon is Rachel. Ah, Rachel? This is a sign that there will be the beginning of the Resurrection of the Dead in his days - Techiyas HaMeisim in his days through the Tzaddik. We are meriting now Techiyas HaMeisim and the Geulah (complete Redemption). Speedily in our days, Amen.
