Receiving the Public on the Eve of Shavuot with Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a - Events of Shavuot 5779

The holiday of Shavuot in the presence of the Tzaddik Yesod Olam (the Tzaddik who is the foundation of the world), our teacher, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, passed with great spiritual awakening. On the night of Shavuot, many hundreds of worshippers arrived at the Beis Medrash (study hall) of the Rav shlit"a, as many who do not live in Jerusalem spent the holiday with our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a.
The Maariv (evening) prayer of Shavuot was conducted with great light. The Rav shlit"a finished the prayer earlier than usual, shortly after nine o'clock. By doing so, he left time for the public to partake in the festive holiday seudah (meal) properly, and afterwards to conduct the order of learning for the night of Shavuot.
After a night filled with learning and prayer, the large crowd gathered once again at the Beis Medrash (study hall) of our teacher, Rabbi Berland shlit"a. Towards four-thirty in the morning, the Rav came out to the prayer hall and began an unforgettable prayer service that lasted until eight-thirty.
Of course, with great mesirus nefesh (self-sacrifice) in light of his medical condition, our teacher Rabbi Berland shlit"a came out to pray with the public for Mincha (afternoon prayer) and Maariv (evening prayer) as well, completing the prayers and learning of the holiday of the Giving of the Torah.
