Revelation: Support Letter from the Steipler zt"l Following the Efforts of the Righteous Rav Berland shlit"a

In the year 5730 (1969), harsh posters were published against the emissaries of the rabbis, Rabbi Menachem Porush zt"l (was a member of the Knesset on behalf of United Torah Judaism and chairman of Agudat Yisrael in Jerusalem) and Rabbi Shlomo Lorincz zt"l (former Knesset member on behalf of Agudat Yisrael, served continuously in the Knesset as a representative of the Haredi Judaism for 33 years). Upon hearing this, our teacher, the honorable Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, immediately went to Maran the Torah Sage, Rabbi Kanievsky zt"l (the Steipler) and also to Maran Rabbi Shach zt"l and presented before them the fact of the severe persecution.

Our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a was not satisfied with this and requested from the greats of Israel, the priests of the Torah shlit"a, letters of support and protest against the persecutors of the rabbis, the emissaries of the rabbis. Rabbi Kanievsky shlit"a wrote to our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a a letter of protest to strengthen the aforementioned activists, and our teacher shlit"a hastened to copy and distribute it.

It is joyful to read the words that remain as testimony on the pages and to see how our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a added in his holy handwriting, a note in the margins of the letter, that this page can be obtained from him at the Breslov Yeshiva in Bnei Brak. The Rav shlit"a further wrote that they should not approach him during the Torah lesson, but rather during the break.

It should be noted that Rabbi Kanievsky also added another personal letter on the same matter, but the letter was delayed for various reasons, and its validity is only for the year 5730.
