Shiur in the Home of Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a for the Residents of Petach
Tikvah

A Special Lesson for the Residents of Petah Tikva ◆ Special Coverage of the City's Activities ◆ Summary of the Lesson
The residents of Petah Tikva, students of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a, were privileged to enter this evening, the night of the 9th of Iyar, for a lesson at the residence of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a.
The participants who were privileged to enter the lesson at the residence of our teacher Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a are a group of individuals strengthening their faith who gather every week for a Torah lesson at the home of one of the members in the city, and they are privileged to draw closer and receive the wisdom of the 'flowing stream, the source of wisdom' (Nachal Novea Mekor Chochma) in the unique path of our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a.
In the lesson, our teacher Rav Berland shlit"a spoke about the matter of Abraham asking Sarah's angel—"that it may go well with me for your sake, and my life will be spared because of you" (Genesis 12:13)—to accompany him, because his own angels had left him when he went down to Egypt. Afterward, he moved on to speak about the virtue of peace in the home (shalom bayit) and the great obligation to honor one's wife and speak strengthening words to her. Likewise, our teacher the Rav shlit"a spoke about the secret of the 'Green Line' and as preparation for the great day of Lag BaOmer.

"So, if a person does not know how to tell his wife, 'You are the wisest, you are the most precious,' as it is written, 'My sister, my bride, my dove, my perfect one,'—this is 'Many daughters have done valiantly, but you have surpassed them all'—we sing this on Friday night after Maariv; so, whoever does not know how to say this should not get married. All of this is in the Zohar, page 42: A person must tell his wife, 'Many daughters have done valiantly [but you have surpassed them all].' You are the wisest woman, the most wonderful, you are the most successful woman, you are the most... Do not say, 'My mother cooks better, and my sister cooks better.'"
"A person must know that everything he has is entirely in the merit of his wife!"
These are some of the wonderful and fire-hewn words of our teacher the Rav shlit"a in this evening's lesson for the residents of the city of Petah Tikva.
