Shocking. Rabbi Berland shlit"a Will Soon Be Released, but Those Who Persecuted Him Will Not Be in the Geulah; They Have No Share in the World to Come. Frightening Words from the Mouth of the Holy Tzaddik Rabbi David Chaim Stern about our holy teacher, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

In a conversation that took place in the private home of the mekubal, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi David Chaim Stern shlit"a, during a shivah visit, Rabbi Stern astonished everyone present with sacred statements that shook all who heard them. “I came to comfort the gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Stern over the passing of his sister, z"l, and Rabbi Meir Shlomo shlit"a entered with me. Many others were there as well. Rabbi Stern spoke about how the Geulah is very close, yet it is being delayed because of a lack of tznius. We asked him: What is happening with Rabbi Berland shlit"a? Why must he suffer so much? The moment he heard this, he sprang up from his place and ruled toward us: ‘Know that Rabbi Berland is a Tzaddik and pure, and he has never sinned. He is clean and refined like a one-day-old infant. He has never sinned and he will never sin—he has no connection whatsoever to sin.’” Testimony from Rabbi Aharon Perkash shlit"a.

I remember him from 50 years ago, and already then he knew the entire Torah,’ he continued, shaking us with his words. ‘Beyond that, he is holy and pure. This is all a lowly fabrication—and all those who persecute him will not merit to leave Gehinnom. Know that Rabbi Berland shlit"a will soon be released; he will merit to see the Geulah, and they will not merit it. They will have no share whatsoever in the Geulah.’”
“I argued to him that Rabbi Berland shlit"a prays for them and speaks in their favor,” Rabbi Perkash relates. “‘That is all good on Rabbi Berland’s side,’ he answered me. ‘But Hashem does not take that into account. He will put all those who oppose him to death in a strange manner. They are doing him an injustice beyond anything imaginable or describable. I do not understand why such a pure and holy Tzaddik, who has no sin at all, is sitting in prison. Those who are doing this to him are cursed wicked people. They will not merit to be in the Geulah, and they will pass through several compartments of Gehinnom—I do not envy what they will go through.’” Many were present, and Rabbi Stern said these words before everyone.
“Rabbi Stern shlit"a continued and said that the Geulah is being delayed because of tznius. Among the stories he told, he spoke about a girl under the age of 12 who came to him with her mother to receive a blessing. The girl was ill with the well-known disease in a terminal way, and the doctors said she was living on borrowed time and truly had no chance to live. ‘I told her: You are not yet of mitzvah age, so you have no sin; you do not deserve to die. But in order to live, you need to make a deal with Hashem.’”
“She answered that she accepts it upon herself. ‘But if you make a deal with Hashem, you must stand by it,’ I warned her. She agreed. Your deal is to conduct yourself with tznius exactly as written in halachah. She accepted this upon herself, and I blessed her that she would leave the illness. And indeed, I followed her over the years from afar. That young woman truly was careful to keep her side of the deal—even inside her own home—and she was truly healed. Hashem also kept His side of the agreement. Today she is already 22, and in a few days (12 Cheshvan 5777) she is getting married to a young man whom I saw had never sinned in his life, and who accepted upon himself to learn in kollel after the wedding. All the troubles we are going through today are because of tznius,’ Rabbi David Chaim Stern shlit"a continued.”
“Returning to the matter of our holy teacher, the holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a: Rabbi David Chaim Stern shlit"a told us that ‘one does not speak in defense of a mesis.’ We tried to argue that in practice, those who persecute Rabbi Berland shlit"a actually cause him to ascend higher and higher in spiritual levels. But he silenced us and said: ‘That is from Rabbi Berland’s side, but from Hashem’s side He will not forgive them. True, Rabbi Berland accepts humiliations upon himself, but that does not exempt them from responsibility for their deeds. They are cursed wicked people and they have no share in the World to Come—yim"sh.’” These are the sacred words of Rabbi David Chaim Stern shlit"a.
“The holy Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland is a true rachaman. His compassion extends even to the greatest criminal in the world. In our generation he has the greatest power to take the most absolute rasha in the world and bring him back in complete teshuvah—just as we ourselves have literally seen with our own eyes how the Rav shlit"a took people from the lowest depths and made them complete Tzaddikim. This is the Rav’s compassion. But Hashem demands the honor of the Tzaddikim: for everything He is prepared to forgive, but for the humiliation of Tzaddikim He is not prepared to forgive. These are the words of Rabbi David Chaim Stern. With Hashem’s help, may everything be turned for the good, and may we merit to hear good news, in the merit of the suffering that the Rav shlit"a takes upon himself for us. As the Rav shlit"a said to Rabbi Shalom Arush: ‘When I am sitting in prison, you can be calm.’ The Rav shlit"a takes upon himself all our troubles, but we must pray for him, because he suffers for us.”
