Spinka Rebbe of Boro Park Comes to Israel to Visit R’ Eliezer Berland Shlit”a

LAST TUESDAY, 23 IYAR, THE SPINKA REBBE OF BORO PARK CAME FROM THE UNITED STATES TO VISIT OUR REBBE, RAV ELIEZER BERLAND SHLIT”A, AT HIS HOME.  THE REBBE CAME ALONG WITH HIS FOLLOWER RAV ASHER ZELIG OSHRI SHLIT”A AND A HANDFUL OF OTHER FOLLOWERS.

The great and long-standing friendship between Rav Berland shlit”a and the Rebbe shlit”a is well known.  The Rav welcomed the Rebbe with great warmth, immediately beginning a discussion in Torah and Aggadah in Yiddish which lasted for over a half-hour.

At the conclusion of the visit, Rav Berland shlit”a accompanied the Rebbe to the entrance to his house, and the two tzaddikim blessed each other with length of days, health, and light -- Amen, so may it be His will.
