Strong: A Vizhnitz Chassid from Bnei Brak Shares What the Controversy Over Rav
Berland shlit"a Did to Him - Parshat Korach - The Hypocrisy of the Media

Parashat Korach tells of the harsh controversy of Korach and his congregation against Moshe Rabbeinu. According to the great Chassidic masters, this controversy has returned and taken on new faces in almost every generation from then until today. Unfortunately, in our generation too, the fire of controversy returns and consumes every good part, and primarily, the controversy stands against the true tzaddik of the generation. Here are some things said by a Chassid from Bnei Brak about what the controversy against the true tzaddik, the great gaon and tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a, has done to him.
The story took place, indeed, during the time of Parashat Korach 5778, but we feel an obligation to mention a little of the force of the wicked controversy against our master, the great gaon and tzaddik, Rav Eliezer Berland shlit"a. After all, the entire controversy is driven by certain self-interested rabbis from within Breslov, who have been hostile toward Rav Berland shlit"a for decades. Those same "rabbis" went out against the Rav shlit"a without a halachic investigation as required by law.
What is truly infuriating in this entire terrible story is that the websites knew how to jump on the bonfire like those who found great spoils and published lies with a great noise. Yet now, at a time when it has been publicized throughout the city that there is a Beis Din with a broad consensus of all the major Charedi courts, and with the endorsement of many neutral rabbis, those same websites intentionally refrain from publishing the updated letter.
Enough with the hypocrisy!!
We return to the story of that Vizhnitz Chassid
"Like every day, I took the mail out of my box, but unfortunately, may Hashem protect us, this time I found, in addition, a pashkevil (smear sheet) against Rav Berland shlit"a. Certain rabbis were signed on it, but it is certainly impossible to know if their signature is true or not."
"The matter reminded me of the famous recent case where an impudent woman attacked a Jew who was helping the public perform the mitzvah of tefillin, disgraced him, and shouted at him; but behold, a wonder: since then, only more people have been strengthened in putting on tefillin. It is the same with Rav Berland shlit"a; before I was exposed to the slanderous words of the pursuers of Rav Berland, I did not know him at all, and suddenly I said to myself, 'Let's observe what all the noise is about.'"
"I obtained the details of the information line of Rav Berland shlit"a, and in the first update, I heard that the Rav prayed Shacharit for 4 continuous hours with the entire public. A second update announced a class on Ketzot HaChoshen with Rav Berland. Whereas, when I called the line of those who dispute the Rav, I heard the exact opposite—only words of blasphemy and defamation against the Rav and his students. The lashon hara (evil speech) on the pursuers' line never stops."
"As one who lives in Bnei Brak, I have never seen the rabbis go out against him, while those signed on the letter are rabbis whose names I have never encountered; each one has become a rabbi in his own eyes. We are in Parashat Korach, and it seems there is an awakening of the congregation of Korach rising from the ground to shout, but whoever stirs up controversy will likely have to answer for it."
