The Breslov Shuvu Banim Youth Group — Bnei Brak, at the Home of the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a

The Bnei Brak Youth Group ○ The Group’s Activities ○ A Summary from the Shiur The Rav Delivered to the Members of the Group

Even in the city of Torah and Chassidus, Bnei Brak—where the fiery flame of Shuvu Banim first began—there is extensive activity among our people of Shuvu Banim: between the prayers with soulful niggunim, and the great Melaveh Malkah. There is also special activity for the precious young men from Shuvu Banim families in the city of Torah, as well as for bnei Torah who are drawing close. Each week, on Tuesday, these fine young men gather in the synagogue of one of the important Chassidic communities in the city of Torah and Chassidus, Bnei Brak—within the framework of the “Breslov Shuvu Banim Youth Group” of Bnei Brak, under the leadership of The Rav, the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a—for heartfelt songs and friendly conversation. And once every few weeks, one of the esteemed mashpi’im of our community comes to add da’as for them from the ever-flowing stream, the wellspring of wisdom.

Those precious young men merited to enter for a special shiur for the holy group, deeper within, in the private residence of The Rav, the gaon and tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a.

In the shiur, which lasted close to forty-five minutes, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the greatness of learning the holy Torah. He also spoke about the greatness of Miriam the Prophetess, who merited to influence the entire world. He spoke as well about the holiness of a person—like a blazing flame of fire. In addition, Rabbi Berland shlit"a mentioned the greatness of the day of the 17th of Tammuz, which is truly like Yom Kippur itself, because on this day Moshe went up for an additional forty days to receive the second Tablets. At the end of the shiur, The Rav shlit"a spoke about the immense greatness of prayer and heartfelt supplications, and he mentioned how Queen Esther pleaded for her people and her homeland, and agreed to give herself up for the sake of the Jewish people. Here The Rav began singing “Vatossef Esther vatedaber lifnei hamelech…” for about ten minutes; afterward, he concluded with a fiery Kaddish, with niggunim. At the end of the Kaddish, all the young men of the holy group passed by to receive “Sichos HaRan,” the Or HaNachal edition, from the holy hands of The Rav, Rabbi Berland shlit"a.
