"The Dog Bit Me and Wouldn't Stop Barking" - The Strengthening Story of Lital Shem Tov

Lital Shem Tov from Holon shares with us her moving journey to solve a problem that arose in her life, and along the way strengthens us all with simple emunah (faith) and love for the tzaddikim.
"We live in Holon in a mixed neighborhood, and one of our neighbors has two very aggressive dogs. I thought that by showing affection towards the dog, the response would be mutual, but I was mistaken."
"The incident I'm describing happened half an hour before the entrance of Shabbat, one of the dogs surprised me from behind and bit my leg. I was struck with fear of the dog and decided to delve into the books of Rebbe Nachman in hopes of receiving a message from Heaven about what I need to correct and improve, because we understand that everything is from Hashem!"
"I understood what I needed to improve, but every time I passed by the neighbors' area and the dog would go crazy at me from beyond the fence, it felt like the dog really wanted to devour me. I decided that I am no longer afraid of any flesh and blood or any animal, only of Hashem! Everything is from Hashem and I need to strengthen more in emunah and bitachon (trust in Hashem)!"
"I began to pray to Hashem that the dog would like me and stop fearing me, after all, I love animals very much and have never harmed them. During the period I prayed, the dog continued its behavior, and in fact, day by day its madness only intensified."
"One day, I quietly said - 'In the merit of Rabbi Eliezer ben Atia Berland, you will stop your madness towards me'. In those moments, while it continued to bark, no sound came out of the dog! It continued to bark in front of my eyes, but no sound came out!"
"I was amazed and continued to shout at it - 'In the merit of Rabbi Eliezer ben Atia, you will be afraid and we will not hear you anymore'. When it heard me mention the name of the tzaddik, I saw with my own eyes how the dog ran towards its home - since then, every time it sees me, it runs away from me."
Lital concludes with strengthening from her personal experience, "Just by mentioning the name of the tzaddik, you see open miracles."
