The Entire Matter is to Follow the Tzaddik - Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a in Beit She'an

Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a in holy words delivered at the "Shuvu Banim" yeshiva in Beit She'an on the 13th of Tevet, 5779.

"The river that flows from Eden is on the right side, "And a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it was parted and became four heads" (Genesis 2:10). The woman is called "Eden", and "a river went out of Eden to water the garden", to water the entire garden. 'The garden' is this world, the Earth, and it must be watered by a river called 'Yovel'."

"Yovel, which is the river with which the garden, the world, is watered, is only through the study of the Gemara. Therefore, everyone must study Tractate Sukkah. Immediately after Sukkot, we study Sukkah, where a sukkah that is over 20 cubits (approximately 10 meters) is invalid, because Haman made a tree of 50 cubits (to hang Mordechai). Why didn't he make it 20 cubits, or 30 cubits? Because Haman said, 'If I make it 50 cubits, no one will see it'."

Haman wanted people to see the tzaddik, to see Mordechai, that was his goal, to place Mordechai high up and everyone would look at Mordechai, but instead of hanging Mordechai, they hanged Haman.

"When Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk (one of the great chassidic leaders of the third generation after the Baal Shem Tov. His aliyah to Eretz Yisrael with 300 people is known as the "Aliyah of the Baal Shem Tov's Disciples", and it is considered a significant aliyah of that time) traveled to Eretz Yisrael, he chose the most broken and rickety ship, but it turned out that all the tzaddikim traveled on that ship. When Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk arrived in Eretz Yisrael, the Sephardim placed a ban on him. At that time, the Sephardim controlled Eretz Yisrael, and they feared that the Ashkenazim would take the donations."

"The Sephardim would place bans on the Ashkenazim, not allowing them to pray in the synagogue. Rabbi Menachem Mendel of Vitebsk said that all the disputes made against the chassidim in Europe were nothing compared to what the Sephardim did to the Ashkenazim in the land. Rabbi Natan is alive and well, he made it so that the Sephardim in our days would be included in the shul and all places. Rabbi Natan is alive and well, he navigates everything, he includes everyone, the tzaddik is alive and well, wherever Rabbi Natan travels, we follow him. With Rebbe Nachman, there is no comprehension, it is truly divine, whoever travels to Rebbe Nachman immediately has their heart and mind transformed. What people need to do in a thousand years, with Rebbe Nachman it happens in one second, the entire matter is to follow Rebbe Nachman, now Rebbe Nachman is in Beit She'an, so we come to Beit She'an."
