The Esteemed Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a at a Home Gathering in Ashdod
"When Moshe Said to Jump, We Jump"

Our holy teacher, the Gaon and Tzaddik Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a, arrived at a home gathering in Ashdod and delivered his wonderful holy words. "A person comes into the world only to bind himself; wherever he goes, he must bind himself. Therefore, Ashdod is the holiest city, because the cows (that carried the Ark) went as far as Beit Shemesh; they arrived there at the threshing floor, and seventy thousand and fifty men died."
"The cows would sing on their own; the entire matter of the cows singing—all the songs of Shabbat are the songs the cows sang. A person must bind himself anew every day, to pass the Binding (Akedah) every day, to pass the test of the Binding every day. There were two women, one Elisheva and one Bat Sheva; Elisheva is the beginning of the seven, which is kindness (Chesed). Bat Sheva is the end of the seven, which is sovereignty (Malchut).
"The High Priest can enter the Holy of Holies only with the merit of his wife. Aaron merited Elisheva, the sister of Nachshon ben Aminadav, who was the most righteous woman of the generation. Nachshon jumped into the sea, and she also jumped. She jumped and said—'There is no sea; Moshe said to jump, so we jump. Moshe said to travel, so we travel.' Nachshon jumped, and Elisheva, the sister of Nachshon, jumped."
