The Founding Ceremony of the "Gav Chazak" Organization and an Emergency Conference in Light of the Decrees Against the Torah World

עורך ראשי

On Monday, the eve of the 5th of Kislev, Parshas Vayetzei, an emergency gathering of the Rabbis and Avreichim (married Torah students) of the holy Breslov community "Shuvu Banim" took place at the holy residence of the Rav, Rabbi Eliezer Berland shlit"a (may he live long and good days), due to the great concern for the preservation of those who diligently study in the tent of Torah.

At this event, the establishment of a new organization, "Gav Chazak" (Strong Back), was announced. Its role is to stand by the side of the Bnei Torah (Torah scholars), to strengthen them, accompany them, and illuminate the path for them during these days of hester (concealment).

Even before the Rav shlit"a entered, the Rabbis gathered and discussed with great seriousness the rumors and the increasing tension among some of the bachurim (young men) and avreichim (married students). Out of a sense of communal and spiritual responsibility, it was unanimously decided to establish an organized body that would provide guidance, support, and direction, both from a perspective of holiness and through practical tools, so that every Ben Torah (Torah student) can continue his spiritual service without confusion or fear.

When the Rav shlit"a entered the gathering, he delivered a lesson filled with the light and warmth of Emunah (faith). In his words, he emphasized that in a generation close to the Geulah (Redemption), where the winds are stormy and hearts seek strengthening, the primary way to stand firm is by maintaining an atmosphere of holiness and continuity in Torah study. The Rav called upon the public to hold onto one another, to reveal a holy strength, and to preserve the frameworks of Torah, which have been the very heart of the Jewish people for two thousand years.

The Rav shlit"a noted that the "Gav Chazak" organization will work to provide a supportive shoulder to every bachur and avreich, each according to his level and situation, so that he can remain steadfast in his holiness and spiritual path with Yishuv HaDa'as (peace of mind) and proper guidance, until the public and legal matters concerning the issue are clarified.
